Gutsy win over WC on Saturday. The Injury list is starting to become a problem. Our third tear players are going to get a go finally.  Mitch Duncan, Ryan Gamble, Simon Hogan, Nathan Djerrkura. Who's going to put their hand up?

Would like to see more of those guys. Have had my eye on Gamble for a while. Seems like a good talent.

Duncan i think is a good youngster who they can actually build upon. Has good skills and was able to mix it when he played earlier this year.

Personally I would LOVE to see Nathan Djerrkura step up. He has everything you need to be a top footballer. If he could force a place in the team he could be a star.  Even better than Israel Folau

Justin Bieber

Don't get ahead of yourself there ;) ;) ;D.

Love the little bursts he has when he does play. What happened to Hogan? Seemed to play well last year but did he get injured or something this year? Should be pushing for a spot in the 22 shouldn't he?

bunyip

He's had a few games. he played against WC. The trouble is young players are overshadowed by the senior Geelong players. Pods is our only recent recruit to get people talking

valkorum

What about Taylor Hunt?

bunyip

Yer he showed some potential didn't he. Kicked a nice goal. I hope he gets a few games so we can have a good look at him. Players like him are Geelongs future

Hogan has been playing recently.

In the off season he did some injury to his back, which has probably hampered him so far.

Fringe player or actually has a chance at a spot in the 22 when everybody is fit?

Probably not, especially after his awful form recently

bunyip

Hogan is not in our top 22. So if he stays with the cats he will have to wait for a spot. I think Geelong are the oldest team at the moment. I was looking at the teams a few weeks ago and Geelong had the highest average age.
So players like Hogan and Gamble etc. will get an opportunity for regular games either this or next season I hope. Otherwise they will go elsewhere like a few others have.

Justin Bieber

Reckon a few teams would love to take some of them off your hands. I know the Dons would be more than happy to ;D.

GWS and GC will likely maybe take 1 or 2 possibly if they take notice of them.

Hard not to MQ. It's an exciting time to be a Geelong supporter. We've had great teams in the past and they've let us down. This one hasn't .

I guess that's just the way things are. It's up to the management to keep them contracted. It's not just Geelong, if I were a GC or GWS scout I'd be making discreet inquiries about guys like Dane Beams and Pat Ryder. There are dozens of young players that would be tempted if they were not tied up already.
