If you look at the long range picture, how game, will suffocate. It's now official that Hunt and Falou and in the AFL, and are playing for huge amounts of money. Falou, will earn more than Judd when he starts playing, and for me- that the AFL is sort of turning into the "English Premier League", with SO much money. Think about those draftees future, asking for more and more seeing as these NRL players are just walking into our game, getting millions, and their abillity is so hidden, "so unknown". Salary Caps will have to be raised, teams like Collingwood,Carlton,Essendon possibly even Melbourne will dominate, while the likes of Hawthorn,North Melbourne and the Bulldogs just left to "crumble" to dust.

Agree on some levels Q. Has really affected Port Magpies in the SANFL. This year and next are assured but they are relying on ONE pub, The Prince Of Wales to pull them through.
A proud existence since 1870 could be left to ruin and the subsequent on field failings of it's sibling The Power. Money talks and the rest go to centrelink.
Couldn't happen to a nicer team!lol!

As to sinking? I'm a glass half full type of guy...if continuing to put money into those darn Collins class subs keps them afloat then the AFL has no chance of sinking with all that $$$ around.

Long live the game

I dont think the hawks will have much trouble keeping up tbh.

These are just one-offs, to get Gold Coast and GWS off the ground. I'm more concerned over Judd's extra payments ruining the game.

My Point Exactly! All the money shall be lost :(

My worry is, the fact that, like Q said, players are just walking into the game and earning more than anyone else (unless GAJ goes to GC) just because they dominated another code, or have athletic ability. Another worry for me is, if these players turn out to be duds, they still get payed top dollar for the next 3 or 4 years. Folau might not have the running capacity, the agility or the strategic side of the game down. I don't like it, not at all.

Q Stat: In 80 NRL Games, Folau has kicked 10 times.

:o ::) :P :-X ???

He'll make up for his kicking with 20 tackles a game ;). But give away 10 FA for running with the ball ;D.

Plus an extra 10 for "rolling" the ball to a team mate. "We don't handball these days" says Folau after Game 1

;D

roo boys!

So his DT score from 80 games would be 40? For 10kicksX4points per kick

ossie85

3 points per kick? But he'd have a fair few tackles...
