His new role is not working well for SC scores.

He is a gun so at some stage he will get back into form however he wont score anything like he has in the past playing forward, for some reason people keep forgetting that.

That is horrible luck. Can't even look at him until that 25 has done its damage. Wait at least 2 weeks.

Even after that 20odd score from this weekend cycles through I would not touch - not unless the Swans started to struggle and Roos was inclined to throw him back in the midfield.....

Bottom line - his current scores don't suggest he is a keeper.  Better value to be had over the season with players such as Harvey or maybe Grundy.

yes but he has always played better in the second half of the season. He always does this just not quite to this extent.

i have been watching Goodsy over the last few weeks, he is just in terrible form, dropping chest marks and getting caught holding the foot yquite a bit. I think he will certainly hit back hard and post some really big scores.

He has played at centre half forward before with great succes. its just a matter of time before he dominates. Note he had 7 clangers on the weekend.

Stay patient or in my case wait two weeks for him to bottom out and pick him up then.

I'm with Tony 73 also.  Made a decision between Rioli and Brennan several weeks ago.  Picked Rioli but was bitterly disappointed with Rioli's form.  Finally traded him out this week even though it cost a valuable trade + money.

At least with Brennan I would have gotten a couple of decent scores and a proper excuse to trade out now!

I telling you now its form not position, as I said 7 clangers on the weekend proves it. Roos would not let a guy with that sort ability have such a small impact on the game.

agreed! you look at pavlich and freo, he is playing in the EXACT same position as Goodes and is racking up 110-120 pw
Plain and simple Goodes is out of form, i have had him since the start and will be keeping him because i know he'll at some stage go on a rampage and score some massive 100's he is too good a player to go thru a year without a good run of form

playing as the target is def negating goodesy's scoring, and yea dropping to 400k is ot out of the question.. imagine if u started with him!!!
i'm in no rush to bring him in given the swans play the doogies and freo and his current rolling average. but round 10 swans v hawks then round 11 v the bombers. both with defences that are being stretched. so round 10 may be a good week to bring him in..
mind u will he bring good scores like we know he can??? i'm going to pick him up prob in 2 or so weeks, he is too good to refuse at the price he will become!!! hopefully roos throws him on the ball in key games?? that's be nice!
