Number of trades strategy

This is only my second year of SC so am interested in the more experienced players point of view. Ideally how many trades should you have at say round 10. I have gone a couple of early upgrades but am interested to know peoples point of view. Cheers

about 10 trades IMO. 4 for finals and the rest for LTIs and maybe a couple for a downgrade-upgrade.

My strategy is to use 5 trades for every 6 matches up to round 18 and leave 5 trades for finals. At round 12 you shouldn't have used more than 10 trades.

My logic is the quicker you have your team set the longer you have a team with high scoring potential. I only leave 2 for finals, what's the point getting a premium for 1 or two games, doesn't make sense to me.

Agree with Alex, sooner you have your team set the better although you do need to have trades left.
I'm almost lucky in a way cos I got locked out for a few weeks in a row(went away etc) and so now have plenty of trades left and still won those games too!

You don't know what's going to happen in this game.

I say make a powerful team day one. So long as you're spot in the 8 is looking healthy, make very few trades before round 10. I'd say you want at least 12 left.

Keep six left for finals and make sideways trades for the in form players at the end of the year. Keep two for Grand Final week in case someone gets injured.

Gives the best chance of winning your leage IMHO
