Hey guys im a new member and need some help with my under performing forward line...

Current Forwards...
browny, o'keefe, dale thomas, eddie betts, barry hall, brennan, pods and bench gumby and fyfe...

I have 12 trades left and 630K in my bank - but I have to upgrade seaby this week (but thats a whole new story).

Do I bench brennan and bring in gumby/fyfe and give bazza 1 last chance or do I upgrade bazza and brennan? I am looking at potential targets being didak and varco/harvey/gray

Any thoughts on what I shoud/nt do???

Cheers!

Brennan got an injury during last night's game. If he is out for several weeks, then there is no point him riding the pine, when you need all the money you can get on the field. So if Brennan is out for more than 4 weeks, I would trade him to either Chappy or Pav, looking at your forward line. Looks like you'll have to keep Hall for now as you mentioned that you need to upgrade Seaby. Hall is still playing games & you have cover in Gumby & Fyfe.

If you don't already have Sandilands, then trade Seaby to Sandilands as he is the most consistent scoring ruck in the competition. Otherwise, go for Dean Cox.

Also try and conserve your remaining trades to cover long term injuries & try to trade wisely.

Bazza is too inconsistent he needs to go. Even players scoring 70-80 per game do a better job of BBB over all. Let Bazza go

thanks guys ... yeah i saw brennan get injured but he was playing good up till then so I was going to hold on.. but ur right about too much $$$ sitting on the bench... my teamis going good, got most of my keepers in but have some inconsistent players littered throughout ... most notably hall ... cooney ... o'brien - but they are a whole new story!

am thinking seaby to cox and brennan/hall to either didak or pav - im steering clear of chappy cause I feel a long term hammy coming on

Yeah, that's the only risk with Chappy. But apart from that he's by far the best scoring forward. I got him into my team this week & he scored a lazy 140.

Macca007

yeah chappy is shower hot.. but im looking at spreading my money over a few upgrades ... over the next few weeks ill be going brennan/hall to didak prob ... cooney to dal santo ... kennelly to goddard ... and seaby to cox then my team is pretty much complete and will leave the rest of my trades as injury cover

MissPiesFF

Go for Pav IMO. He will always cover those smaller scores while you look to upgrade again. I am considering Chappy myself, but I am worried about the injury also. Those who grabbed Chappy from the start are very lucky.

630k on the bench  :o, thats your problem right there! lol

Macca007

nah i got a solid side at the moment... but a fair chunk of that will go on my seaby upgrade... i onlyhave 1 upgrade prettymuch to do in each zone and my team is pretty much complete and that will use up that cash

Hahaha holy moly I missed that one...Indeed a prob!

Macca007

nah not a prob at all... team is scoring solidly and in 4 trades time ill pretty much have my complete team ...

Piggers

Depends really if you are happy with solid? Show us your complete team!!!
Personally i'd like a bit more than solid in a few weeks!!!

Macca007

yeah averaging 2117 which is fairly average but still not too shabby considering i dont have ablett so pretty happy but definately need some changes...

team is:
hodge, malceski, jordan russell, heath shaw, beau waters, harry O, kennelly (goose, davis)

barlow, selwood, rischi, cooney, stanton, judd (martin, howlett)

nic nat, seaby (warnock, lobbe)

browny, rok, dale thomas, eddie betts, hall, brennan, pods (gumby, fyfe)

... 12 trades left and 630K but a fair changes I need to make - obviously seaby and brennan and upgrade some def but reasonably happy right now but yeah definately need some changes to set team in stone and then leave it.

Piggers

A few top shelf players there Macca!!!

Backs - Goddard a must and maybe one other preminum back!!! But not bad!!

Mids - Nice but missing Gazza a prob like you said however a Swan or Montagna would help almost as much!!!

Rucks - Seaby must go - Bench depth a worry too!!!

Forwards - Some nice uniques here!!! Think you need a Pav or Goodes in there - or both if you can !!!

Overall a unique team - Dont mind it!!!

Macca007

yeah i was looking to try slightly diff... not interested in gaz at this stage but goddard is one of my next targets cause he will prob drop a little bit more... goodes not yet cause he will drop HEAPS after this weekends score in the next rolling 3 (dont like his new role either up fwd hey!) and i agree my ruck is weak...

the next few trades i am thinking are:
seaby for cox
goddard for kennelly/waters..
didak & varcoe for brennan and hall

then leave team and leave trades for injuries
