Master Q

Please remember that there is a huge difference between "The Best Player" and the "The Most Valuable".

Here's my list:

1. Judd- Just wins the ball all the time. Anyone would want him.

2.Sandilands-(The New Cox) The most dominant ruck this year, if I were to pick a team, I would base it around the ruck.

3.Presti/Scarlett- (Old Version was Fletcher) Can shut down the Full Forward. Very Valuable

4.Pavlich- The way he can clear it from the centre bounce, then move to CHF and Kick Goals. Awesome.

5*.J.Brown- Can change games if he gets the supply, won the coleman a few years back.

*5 was quite hard to choose, tossing up between GAJ and Brown. If there was to be a 6, It would be GAJ because of the way he can distrubute the ball.

Boomz

No Riewoldt in there Q? Have you seen how the saints are without him?

Alex7089

nice list. Roo would probs be there if he wasn't injured.

Master Q

I think Brown is better, what about your lists?

1. Sandilands and Pavlich. These guys are the reason Fremantle are 6-1
2. Jonathan Brown
3. Gary Ablett
4. Chris Judd
5. Luke Hodge

I totally agree with you Master Q. If Judd got injured Carlton would be in real trouble. When he wasn't available in the first 3 rounds Carlton beat Richmond and lost to Brisbane and Essendon. The results speak for themselves.
No Judd, no Carlton.
Judd is no doubt the most important player to his team in the league
I don't know that Scarlett is Geelongs MVP either. I think Chappy is.

If you want a list it's
1. Judd
2. Hodge
3. Swann
4.Brown
5. Hall

It's not to the team, it's kind of in a way that they can change games.

For Example:
Your List:

1. Judd
2. Hodge
3. Swann
4.Brown
5. Hall

The ones in red, are good players, and are valuable to there teams, but not in the way that Judd and Hodge are. They can change games.

Hall can influence games for sure, but the Dogs won plenty of games without him last year. I'd say Brian Lake is almost there most valuable.

And Swan, as much as I love the ball-magnet, I'd like to think Collingwood's midfield depth could cover for him. Nick Maxwell, Heath Shaw and Darren Jolly play such vital parts for Collingwood's current side that are hard to replace.

That's what i'm pointing at. Lake I personnaly don't think he is up to Prestí's level, I was a bit unsure about Scarlett, but when the won their championship in 2007, I thought a main reason was because of him.

If you want Matchwinners then I think it has to be Chappy. Can kick goals and his kicking is phenomenal.

1) Aaron Sandilands - What will freo be without him 40+ HO Per Game without him who will ruck..

2) Gary Ablett jnr - Has Bartel, Selwood, Enright, Ling, Kelly, Chapman and still manages to get 40 possies

3) Nick Riewoldt - Saints need riewoldt he is their game winner

4) Chris Judd - How he gets the ball, hard ball gets and runs it out of the centre...

5)* Jobe Watson - Gets tagged week in week out, Get's tackles and the only way he gets the ball is hard ball gets, he goes in and under and wins essendon the game most of the times..

GAJ that high?

"Has Bartel,Selwood,Enright,Ling,Kelly,Chapman and still manages to get 40 possies"

Not sure if you noticed, the only reason he gets 40 possies is because when the cats get it they just throw it to him and"say "Do something good". :P

.... Yeah, but why wouldn't every other team do the same thing?
