a decent ruck theory

at the moment i have d cox mcintosh and spencer on the bench, these thre players add up to... $845,100

the theory im looking at here is playing d hille, k tippet and j white on the bench.

hille - should average 90 this year as essendon have brought back players and will kick the ball around more.

tippet - after impressing with a 95 in the preseason game looks like he could step it up.. i think he will average around 65 this year which would bring his value up to 288k.

white - on the bench if tippet ever missed a game he would back it up, also could be a good cash cow, im thinkin he will average around 50 this year bringing him up to 222k.
all these 3 add up to 710,200..

that would save me 135k to do up the rest of my team.

with alot of questions marks over cox this is the only theory i think could work, opinions?

will tippet even hold his spot? As a ruck i think he is 3rd in line and as a forward with hentschel, walker, welsh(when hes back) porplyzia (when hes back - rnd 2 perhaps) gill, the midfielder be it thompson/edwards/goodwin who rests down there I don't really see a clear spot for tippet to nail down. If i was you i would cheapen up other areas of your team and try to get the cox hille combo from the start. They are the two ruckman you want at the end so why waste numerous trades trying to get them.

The crows should play Tippet as a second ruck and a resting forward (Maric being #1) so he can definately slot in.

well love4thegame... this is a change of heart from ya. you were telling me cox had to be there. haha

anyway my thoughts on ya tactic. tippet should play as a forward for the crows. which game he get 95 in? if he did that beats his previous best last year of 75. dont see him improving heaps though. but could go up

hille is a gun. put him in... wont have to touch him all year... not as good as cox... but for his price cant go wrong. the only other ruck id be happy with for a main ruck is sandilands. purely out of the fact hes gonna get the most hit outs for the year. always going to get points.

still think im on a winner with hille, mac and spenc on the bench. hille will stay.. the rest are going to make me money to eventually do the trade for cox.
