BOWER OUT - leg injury

Looking to upgrade Silvagni this week to boost my defence. I think Bower is the way to go. What do others think?

Bower had great form last year and impressed me greatly, and I think he will only improve.

My current backline:


Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Enright, Gram, Waters, Silvagni (Maguire, Davis)


So, if I make the trade, it looks a LOT stronger with 2 playing substitutes:

Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Enright, Bower, Gram, Waters (Maguire, Davis)


This will leave me with around $114k.

I'm also thinking of downgrading Hitchcock to Fyfe, or will Hitchcock still get more games?

I think that the upgrade from Silvagni to Bower is a good one as Bower is certainly in Carlton's best 22. I agree that your defence will look much stronger with Silvagni Out and Bower in.

As for the Hitchcock to Fyfe trade - it is a bit sideways I know, but I think that Fyfe's job security is probably slightly better than Hitchcock's at this stage.

Indeed there is much to be gained from it. I wouldn't do it as until proven otherwise Bower has "Beau Muston" potential but it is one that most won't be doing

Paul Bower has been ruled out of tomorrow nights clash against the Saints. Not the same injury as last one that kept him out for 4 weeks, and the footy club have not said how long he'll be out for.
