CFC 1979

I foresee a bit of a problem for the coast

a lot of their suggested targets are signing for their clubs and turning their backs on the coast

the problem being who will go there if there is no one else or a champion player to build a team around ( ie; GAJ )

Turning out that way for sure. There will be a few high profile signings out of the woodwork. Wish there was a list of players out-of-contract!

I've been looking for a list of off contract players for ages! =O
Pav would be an outstanding signing. He could be the one to start the big names signing up.

As it's been said before, once one big name signs, the rest will follow. I'm praying someone like Pav or Ablett sign up, otherwise we'll be the next laughing stock of the competition... for at least the first few years.

Except that even though you will struggle with no stars for lets say the first 3 years, you will then comeback and smash as you will have around 5 of the best 10 players as you get the so many First Round picks.

Isn't that how it usually works? Take Carlton for example: Gibbs, Kruezer, Murphy, etc. They will be reaching their prime soon.

Same would be said for Richmond if GC weren't slutting up the draft picks this year.

Yes but Richmond can't get 2 good players to turn them around. Generally, to be honest, they are a disgrace.

You wont get Pav.  If he was gonna go anywhere it would have been back to SA years ago.  Now that the team is starting to fire he wont go.

Scott Thompson (Adel) is a chance to head up!

Well several players have apparently already signed.  GAJ will head north - cant say no to that much money. It worries me that Pavlich and Mundy are postponing contract talks until the end of the season.

Long term, it doesnt matter if they poach any players or not - the young list as it stands is pretty wealthy, and it will only get wealthier at the Draft.  The short term implications are important though - marquee players bring fans to the ground, as does a winning team.

Anyone have an idea of how they will work out prices for the GC players next year for dreamteam, will half of there players be worth 77k and will that meen that everyone will have half a team of GC players.i know its a bit early just curious to hear peoples thoughts. ???
