Silvagni for which def under 325k??

hey guys,
looking to upgrade silvagni this week. Have about 325k to spend after bastinac downgrade, have 17 trades atm. Initially I was thinking hargrave but to honest I'm really worried about his role this yr and his abilty to get back to a high average, just can't see it.
- bauer is looking very tempting and is on the bubble though he is unproven and don't like that recent leg injury
- malceski. He should be far more pricey already but that 38 really stalled his progress making him still pretty cheap as he'll likely get up to around 400k. He looks set to chop all year barring injury.

So, which one guys? Comments would be awesome too  :D

Silvagni may still be in the team a little longer as Headland may be put on the LTI

so are you guys saying hargrave because you think he WILL get back to where he was last yr or is it simply his price that is the defining factor. Right now im torn because although i missed the malceski boat initially (traded him out last minute) he's still very affordable and appears to be Sydney's linchpin as first receiver from stoppages and for their switch plays across/up the ground (kennelly his only real competitor).
- It appears that this yr, gilbee, harbrow etc are sharing the Malceski role over at the bulldogs and are killing hargrave's potential to get those cheap transfer kicks down back. Plus that 108 hargrave got was actually pretty low when you consider how inflated DT scores were that game (Gilbee, harbrow chopped him early).

hmmm gonna keep thinking it over. Anyone else have any thoughts???

there still is few premium defenders on the slide....maybe wait for them.
i think gilbert b/e is high and maybe goddards

- yeah on that, I don't see Gilbert or certainly Goddard dropping enough for them to be within my price range. I think a firing malceski or hargrave if he can find form is a pretty solid upgrade for Silvagni and should get me some valuable extra points each week.

i got malceski and i see him as a keeper....he had one bad scoring game but still a solid option

the issue with getting malceski though is that in effect i'm using 2 trades to get him, is he really worth that?? whereas with Hargrave, i am getting a 'premium' (use that term loosely) at such a discounted price so it does seem  a more justifiable play (rookie to a 'gun').
- just say malceski got injured or something happened i would be so dirty about using 2 trades to get a mid-priced player, then another to trade him out.

so tough to decide: maybe i'll just get Bauer haha  :P jj

Hey elephants (or anyone else) do u prefer the malceski trade? I do think he will bring very good scores this yr now that he's fit and firing. Argh my brain!
