m going for a high national ranking and want to push into the top 1000 soon, my mids pretty strong with Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Anthony, BArlow and Bastinac, either this week i want to get in swan for bastinac, so my midfiled can be set for the rest of the year

however im not sure how to get the cash to get him in as i cant see many downgrade targets

i also might try and get in Goddard for waters/kennely so after 4 trades my backs would be Hodge,Shaw, Goddard, Enright, Carrazo, malcheski, Waters/kennely and with my mids all 100 or above averages and with Sandi Hille in the rucks my team should be on fire

One of your forwards to Fyfe or Warnock to Roughead (a bit immature but will get you the gun mid).

Iwas thinking if howlett gets named than maybee bastinac to howlett and then either keep martin and trade to swan now or nextweek,

i cant trade out davis (-BE) and pods isnt going anywhere
so could go gumbleton to fyfe but then i would only have 440-450k for upgrade next week, not enough and i want swan

yeah that the problem i have the feeling he could become a keeper, if only for the bench i expect a 75+ average from now on

i have been caculating the options and i think if robertson can get named again for freo then i should do Macguire/Nason to Robertson and go Bastinac to Swan, this would leave me very little in the bank, so i probably wont be able to get Goddard yet but might get hagrave instead if he goes good this week, what do you guys think

Aggressive trading. Not sold on Robertson at all.

The cash cows are still doing their jobs nicely.

yeah i think you need to go agressive to win, i could potentially burn out but with macguire or nason as 8th backman i dont think i will need the 9th backman, purely to get money and if have enough trades amybee cash cow

Im all about improving my 22, and bastinac to swan should get me 40-50 more points per game

Agree. You'd probably only need Maguire/Nason.

I'm a little concerned, however, that Nason might burn out or Maguire getting injured and your number 9 might not handle the job when needed, as the season is only 6 games young.

We just saw what had happened last round with at least 3 premiums out in Ablett, Mitchell and Boyd and a handful of useful rookies being rested, so many coaches were caught out either by running out of trades or trading too early etc ... You only need one bad game like that to spoil the whole season.

You defnitely need to take risks in this game but I think it's calculated risk that works better.

i beleive that if fit nason or maquire will play 20+ games, so the chances of one of them being down the same time one of defenders are down seem realtively low
if i do get 1-2 donut i think getting in swan will gain me 40-50  points per game so rather than wait 3-4 weeks for a good rookie to come up im losing  100-200 pints

im tihnking at this stage hold of on trades, unless howlett comes in this week and downgrade bastinac. The only problem is i want to keep martin. Im waiting for a good backman rookies to come around and i can see any (should have got hams last week)

Webberley from the Tigers was listed as Em last week and so was the kid from WCE (Sheppard ?).
Their time will come sooner than later.

Shepard may play this week with masten out for 5-6 weeks.
However he is listed at 149K.
