Looking to downgrade Bastinac to Howlett if he plays but then just had a thought: with shuey likely to be back very soon and martin also on bench for me atm, maybe it doesn't matter if/when Howlett plays since his implied value is irrelevant as i wouldn't be trading him out and can cover for him pretty smoothly. Was originally thinking JKT but howlett gives me so much more $$

thoughts? anyone else thinking this due to lack of options?

Howlett could get a go this year after two standout VFL performances and midfielders Andrew Welsh and Dyson both out. Hurley also in doubt. Surely he has to come in!

Howlett will eventually play. It's just a question of when; so if you're absolutely sure you've got cover, then I say: go for it!

depends if knighta fancies colyer and melksham over howlett, i dont think he should but the guy is very unpredictable with selection

well im hoping shuey will b back this week so i have confidence in downgrading bastinac to howlett but doesnt look too good on shueys part....

yeah dunno about shuey think he could still be a couple off but i recon he might spend a week in the WAFL

Had a chat to missus today fellas, she said he is a definate chance but won't know until Wednesday. She also said his ankle is still really purple from when he rolled it a couple of weeks ago, but isnt hindering him at all. I'll get confirmation on Wednesday if he is playing or not.

i'm praying that Shuey gets up real soon for selection to give me that extra confidence but i think i'll end up probably risking it anyway and getting howlett.

-with the extra coin i'm thinking silvagni to hargrave (leaving hunt and nason on bench).
- current backline: Hodge, Enright, Gram, Duffield, Harbrow, Waters, Silvagni. The leftover cash will be on upgrades for Trengove/Martin. Sound ok??

Howlett will play this weekend. Form has been undeniable and now with Dyson getting injured and Welsh being suspended he will play.... finally!

I bumped in Matthew Knights' grandson today and a friend of his from creche said he was speaking to a guy who said Howlett is likely to be on the extended bench this weekend.
