They have the talent and the game plan is there but they need to implement it right each week... They were great against the hawks and the thing that was great was their pressure.

Good one Pav. It's called implementing the game plan. When they implement it, it goes well. That's what experience is about. Richmond of course know all about executing game plans!!  :P

Essendon should be judged when they play the likes of North, Brisbane, Port and perahps Melbourne as they are the ones who will be fighting for 7th & 8th spot with the Bombers. Lose those, and its goodbye Knights & bring in someone else who the Essendon masses will inevitably turn against within 24 months.

that doesnt make sense how often does this happen at essendon?? and coming from a club which sacked a coach but decided to keep him for 2more years and now looks like winning a flag...like thats not worrying about coaches!! we dont want to lose buckley ooo noo... so we will keep mick but even if he wins a flag hes still gone in 2years....really smart that is..

Yes, cos Collingwood would be devastated if they had to get rid of Malthouse after he won a flag. At least they can empty their tears into a premiership cup! So it's win-win.

Cool, calm collected handover. No hysteria or fans calling for the coach's head or a change in game plan. I think its fine & if the Cup comes our way, I'll deal with it & a new coach.

As for Knights, every loss will be greeted by sacking demands. Just like those who wanted Sheedy out but now conveniently seem to say they wanted him to stay. I'm not even sure who Essendon supporters want in the perfect world...... Watson, Hardwick, Daniher or let me guess Hird!!!

got no issues with knighta, he is a no nonsense type. our clearance work (beleive it or not!!) has improved. but collingwood did smash us on anzac day in this department!!  i think last year was a bit of an abberation! barely won games b4 last season and to make the 8 with the amount of games we won was fortunate. but brilliant experience (not the game against the crows, the whole lead up, masses at training ect. ect.) didn't help having no spine that day against the crows! so yea 2012 is when we should be sitting in the 8, everything to around that time is a big learning curve, atm we are creating depth and many players are getting games.. yea 2006 cats seem to remind u of the bombers a little, nothing wrong with knighta.. bloody glad to finally see gumby in and around it all - is getting bettter every week

He did make some stupid changes though, like dropping Prismall. Cant deny that. And I will still never get over moving the 900 goal champion Matty Lloyd out of full forward. Think we need to do some better recruiting, and get an absolute champion into the club to take some heat off our only real star player Watson.
