what to do?

burn the 4 trades and trade martin trengove next week
burn the 4 trades and trade martin banner next week
just do hunt-hams and banner-ablett this week
don't trade yet at all

im just thinking now that next week your not going to have that many good players on the bubble, maybe only cunnington and roughhead. And with ablett's B/E at 114 and gibbs and selwood still pretty high aswell, im thinking they cant go up this week reli. So my plan is to trade hunt and nason out this week for davis and hams if named which would give me an extra 254 k or so..
plus i have 257k in the bank alreayd giving me a total of about 510k.
now selwood has a B/E of 138 so will likely drop another 10-15k and ablett might rise maybe another 5k if he gets his average. so together they will cost about 535+370=905k.
Then next week i could trade banner and trengove out for ablett, selwood.
giving me a midfield of ablett swan bartel stanton selwood barlow.
alternatively i could leave banner on the bench to hopefully make some money and trade martin and trengove out for say ablett and montagna.
The problem is though that i would be left with only 13 trades after 7 rounds.
But what do u guys think??

GinoGod

its alright if u dont have to upgrade anywhere else

i should also say that after doing this i would have 15 premium keepers on the field plus malceski waters hille and ballantyne. the only other real upgrade targets would be pods in 4-5 weeks and silvagni in another couple. if i do double trades on both of them then id still have 9 trades to perhaps upgrade ballantyne later and take care of injuries. plus id still have cows on the bench in hams davis gumby rockliff and shuey

If the rest of your team is pretty settled then I dont mind the trades.  Getting guns in to your midfield IMO is normally always a good trade.

thornz23

dnt mind the trades or is it a good idea? :P i mean the idea obviously is to get a team full of keepers. and if i do the hunt-hams and banner-ablett this week i would be left with only 700 bucks :P making it a bit harder to upgrade the rest of the rookies

valkorum

What about looking at a different mid like

Stanton
Boyd
Judd
K Simpson

All options that would leave you with a bit more than $700

thornz23

i have stanton and dnt want judd in dt. if i was going to go as expensive as boyd i would probably choose montagna over him but then i dnt think that they are that much better than gibbs or hayes so i would probably drop to them. And simpson is a viable option but i dnt think he can keep up what he has started. I might have to look at maybe montagna gibbs though over ablett selwood.

elxam

unlike hayes, montagna and boyd gibbs doesn't seem to get monster scores around 140-160 every now and then

valkorum

The reason I said them is that the other midfielders in that price range all have high BE's and are likely to still go down in price.

Montagna 131
Swan 147
Dal Santo 138
Cornes 120
Cooney 104
Gibbs 104
Cross 133
Hayes 104

thornz23

ok yeh fair enough although i would think that gibbs n hayes would go close probly over that b/e and will go up from there for a while

valkorum

Hayes has only had 1 x 100+ score this year and that was a 105

browny_wce

dunno if id have ablett, bartel and selwood in ur midfield all at once
bit too cats chocked i think

valkorum

Hasnt been a problem over the last few years (well it was Ablett, Bartel and Corey)

Flame

I reckon I'd have all four. I already have Bartel and ablett..A fit Corey would be good...
