I’ve got 51k in the bank with 16 trades in hand.

Wasted a trade on Seaby, but I don’t think I'm alone on this one.

I can do a straight swap for Hille (Think he will dominate an under strength Hawthorn ruck division)

Or

I can downgrade anyone of Maguire, Silvagni, Martin, Gumby, Dangerfield or Ball for Hams or Davis (only depends on who plays this week, probably take Hams though because more cash and he fills the small forward role nicely at West Coast.) and pick up Cox.

I'm loathe to trade out any of my cash cows as none of them have peaked just yet, Dangerfield and Ball are haemorrhaging money, I don’t really want to trade them out either though. They will pick up eventually.

Nor do I want to use two trades, which will bring me down to 14 so early in the season.

However, I had a shocking score early (1790) and that knocked me out of contention for a top 100 finish so I’m just going for a league win now.

My main opponents ruck division is Sandilands and Kruezer, he beat me by 2 points last round (2139 vs 2141). =(

Currently I have Sandilands and Seaby.

I think Sandilands and Cox will score higher than Sandi and Kruezer, but what about Sandi and Hille vs Sandi Kruezer?

Thoughs???

mate my rucks are sandi and hille and i will go hille to cox after this round because cox is playing sandi and hille vs haws. next week cox vs hawks

Actually, thats a good point. His avg vs fremantle is lower than his BE for this round as well.

Problem is, Seaby will drop in value more than likely. His BE is 70 odd and he will struggle to make that against Brisbane IMO.

yeh u wuldnt see cox winning many hitouts vs sandi, but shud beat him round the ground, maybe both he n nic can tire sandi out around the ground.
but if woosha is smart (which he is not) he wuld put nicnat up against sandi in the hope nick will out jump him then put coxy in if freo play a 2nd ruckmen
wuld see coxy doing too well this week, which shud be good and hopefully bring his price down a bit more for next week

The biggest question for me is..

Will Seaby drop in value again this week, and if Cox hits his breakeven.. Which he potentially could, that would put him further out of reach for me next week. I really think this is the week to get Cox if you have Seaby, not Hille though, I'd wait if I had Hille.

Cox has scored 90+ in his last 3 games against Freo. That would suggest to me that he will beat his break even and go up in value.

Now is the time to buy if you have Seaby.

BUT my question remains, If I only want to win league, should I burn two trades to bring in Cox, or just one to get Hille in.

At $80k less I'd definetly go with Hille! He look's like he's starting to recapture some of his '08 DT form and he's moving around the ground very nicely too!

Hille has been in fine form though Cox in his prime has not been matched by any ruckmen currently playing.

Don't know how you can trade Hille when he pumped out a lousy 114 against Cox??

thornz23

i reli think hille has his best yet to come i probly won't be wasting a trade on him. Coming back from injury he will only get stronger each week and keep posting better scores. i think he has shown the promise to get back to where he was as an elite ruckmen before his injury

Have you considered trading Seaby for Matthew Leuenberger? Priced at $276,900

Cox is the one... signs are ominous!

Ruckman mature very late and there is no way nic nat will keep this up for 22 games Cox will be doing the lion share sooner rather than later! He is a gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flame

Cox is a gun, but why trade Hille..He will only get better..

DT Junkie

Sorry I should pay more attention...

I thought you were tossing up between getting the 2 but it would be silly to burn a trade by swapping hille for cox. Hille for me is doing just fine
