Gday lads, let me clarify one thing straight away...

IM NOT TRADING UNTIL JUST PRIOR TO LOCKOUT...

with that said, i would like to establish what my options are... so heres my situation

Backs
Carrazzo, Enright, H.Shaw, Hodge, Malceski, Kennelly, Hunt (maguire, silvagni)
Mids
Bartel, Mitchell, Cooney, Barlow, Ziebell, Trengove (bastinac, martin)
Rucks
Sandilands, McIntosh (warnock, mccauley)
Forwards
Brown, O'Keefe, Giansiracusa, Franklin, Gray, Dangerfield, Ballantyne (gumbleton, podsiadly)

I have $8,800 in the kitty and looking at some of my rookies to upgrade soonish since a few premiums have taken a plunge (i will wait for another round or two to see how swan and goddard go).

all of my lads are skyrocketing which is great, except ziebell... he hasn't done much for me and has only risen by 3k this round... should i trade him out and upgrade someone else? With martin and bastinac on the bench, i have cover.. and im not sure if ziebell will do too much more, and i dont want to miss the boat with a few premiums... so what i've been thinking is:
Out: Ziebell
In: Ben Howlett/Jarrod Kayler-Thompson
New Bank: $210,700

With that... i can upgrade:
- Josh Hunt to Lindsay Gilbee/Duffield/Gilbert/Hargrave (or wait next week and hope goddard drops a few thousand more which he should and hunt rises and get Goddard)
- Patrick Dangerfield to Alan Didak/Harvey/Goodes/Pavlich/Higgins
- i can upgrade Dustin Martin, but he'll rise more... but if i did trade him hypothetically i could swap him to Brad Green/K.Cornes/Gibbs/Pendles/Anthony/Priddis/Hayes (or wait next week and hope swan drops a few thousand more which he should and martin rises and swan/dal santo)
- i COULD upgrade kreuzer to cox, but i just traded kreuzer in, so i wont.

what do u guys reckon... hunt who seems to be scoring pretty consistently in the average end of the spectrum and isnt rising much or dangerfield who is struggling at the moment and instead of waiting and hoping, trade out now and get a keeper? or hold on to trades for a while longer?

what's everyones opinion on ziebell... do you reckon he can average higher than he's scoring at the moment... i was hoping he'd be a cash cow... but he's actually gone down...

elephants

he will be going up i think he as not got the time in the middle he needs and when he does he is awesome. he always has a quarter or so where he dominates. i guess he is in the midfield in this quarter

Chappy35

zibiell should be one of your last trades. because at worst you can have him as your 7th forward. better him than a rookie

GinoGod

i agree with chappy35.
ziebell was in there to make you money and eventually trade in last part of season....just let him do that

i second that

GinoGod

i never picked ziebell at the start coz i saw no upside to him....but he is in ur team to make u money so leave it...im sure there are other areas to work on in ur team

chosch

that's why im worried. if he doesnt get the time in the centre... he'll continue with his mediocre scores... i dont want to leave him in if he's going to continue at the rate he's going... not impressive... at least dangerfield should start picking up again when he's absent of injury and the crows learn to kick it forward. i would leave him in if there wasnt so many premiums dropping... where else do u guys reckon i need to look at revamping if its not ziebell?

damn dangerfield out, mitchell and brown could be groggy, hunt playing like balls, ziebell not scoring much... FANTASTIC

danger, ziebell and hunt are on the cards for me, with martin and maybe silvagni in the near future.

i havent watched hargrave this year... is he just no longer the dt stud he used to be, i know he was injured... but will he return from his current slump???

thornz23

in the next couple of weeks he could drop to about 260k. he will come good eventually u cant reli fluke a whole year (like last year). could be the most picked up player ever in a couple of weeks i reckon :P

chosch

that's what id like to believe to and i hope so... but in previous years he's averaged like mid 70's... last year was a standout year by far if u look at his history. look at stevie j... he's averaged really high and is going terribly this year, same with leon davis... all these guys came into consideration in pre-season team selection... thankgod i got none of them.

i want to trade hunt out, but i want hargrave to drop more... but hunts BE is higher than he's been scoring... so he could and very well might drop this week... need hargrave to drop more then i suppose.

has he just not been playing well... playing a different role... been injured and slower or just not getting the priority of the ball from his team mates like he used to? how does someone drop so much?
