As I noted last week, his scores are down on past years. Imo I think its due to the fact that he's getting tagged more and the fact that he is sharing time with Luke Ball. My question is do you think Swan is just going through a rough patch or is he's time as an elite premium over (making him just a premium lol)?

bundyboy

just picked him up this week.....what crap timing !!

but think he is definately a quality premium...

elxam

there are only a handful of DT Gun Premiums and he was definitely up there last year
just having a little down time swan. he'll come good

sledgey7

this is dane swan we're talking about. easily the second best DT'er going around. there is no question he is elite and is just having a mini slump. he tagged pretty heavily last year as well. if you got him keep him and if you don't then get him in the next couple of weeks!

elxam

while other prems low scores are around 50, swan's low ones are 80s.
that's the difference

I thinks Swans scores are down due to the young talent in our team this year that have played a lot of games last year and got over their nerves, so to speak. Wellingham is blitzing it and beams sitting in FCP has made a huge difference. Jolly is standing up a lot lately too. Even in all over the ground.

I love the way mick and Buckley give Frasier and Jolly the same roles when not playing ruck. Swan WAS the most out standing player for Pies last year. Now he just has to share the score around. I am thinking of trading him in for this very reason. He will always be a magnificent player. But the young guns are far out scoring him, in terms of DT.

Just hope he does not become up a spud. Being one of those players that are genuinely needed yet do not score much.IE Prestie

that would be the disaster for DT players.

so who would you pick to replace him if you had already got G ABLETT?

Assuming he's not in your backline I'd go Luke Hodge

3 of his 5 scores have been over 110...I think he is still up there, dont trade him out, and if youre seriously thinking abuot it give it another few weeks to see if he improves

thornz23

he was very disappoingting this week but only because i had him as captain. i could have handled his low score if i hadn't chosen him as captain :P he is still one of the top 3 dt midfielders in the game

elxam

give the guys some flake - he'll be fine, if not back to last year's ave but will be easily over 105

don't worry no even considering trading him out, just posted this topic for some general discussuion and to hear people's thoughts about whether he will return to regular +120 scores like ablett or not.

btw, for the record I think he'll come good and return to the form of past years
