This is starting to get a bit tedious. We watched Collingwood thrash a hopeless Hawthorn and now Essendon were even worse. The unforced errors, poor disposal, and, I hate to say it, but a certain unwillingness to put their bodies on the line at important times. I know it's still early in the season, but a few teams with expectations of building on last years results, yes, I'm talking about YOU Adelaide, Carlton, North Melbourne had better get a move on. North and Carlton have yet to play this week, they have got to win. Port Adelaide and Melbourne may have turned the corner, time for a few other teams to do the same. I'm a Geelong supporter so I don't want Carlton to win, but at least have a go. There are too many one sided games this year

Agree with you. Liked the close games of past. The Port vs Saints Game was a cracker last night even though it was low scoring. Essendon have literally no forward line but pretty good defenders on the rise. Pears and Hooker have pretty good kicks on them but our forwards are hopeless. Watch Gumby kick a ball and it tells us how he will go in front of goal.

I pick essendon to miss the 8 even though it hurts me to say that. We need to recruit a sharp shooter through the draft or by trading smart.

North don't have a very good team. Only have Harvey, Swallow, Petrie and Anthony to carry the lot. Going to be a long year for them if these guys are held well.

There's a few Essendon players need to bite the bullet and play more aggressively. Or maybe it's just that their defensive skills are not as good as they should be. I tell you what though Helly, I like Reimers, he's gonna be a gun in future. I've been watching him.

Reimers looks good. Provides a small target up forward but we need a big body there to crash the packs (and play like Roo/Brown do). Favourtie players at the moment at essendon have to be Pears, Hooker and Hocking. All have a bright future and can see hocking becoming one of the elite taggers in the comp. Pears brought in to be the long term replacement for Fletch and looks pretty good with his running game and one on one matchups. Got a pretty mature body.

Watson and Hocking look to be the only guys being aggressive on field. Could also throw lonergan in there if he plays.

If JB is injured I might put Reimers in.

He is. Think its a back injury. Look in the sc or dt players and trades section. Got links in there. Will play but needs to rest up. From what i hear, looked really bad last night.

Wouldn't trade him out for Reimers. Maybe a cash cow in the coming weeks ;)

It is one round where most people most likely got 3 tips. Yes thrashings but unexpected wins. Every season has its rounds. Chin up :)

You shouldn't be up at that hour of the morning MP  ;D

richgo

Too right there's too many one-sided games this year - would've been nice if Geelong had turned up!
