I think in all reality we're at least 2 weeks from culling, Martin and Trengove pulled big scoresthis week. I'm worried about the backs. Who am I gonna downgrade Silvagni, Nason, Hunt, and Maguire to? Davis is playing a bit earlier than I epected. Any other back rookies looking to debut over the next couple of weeks?

Bluke

Hams is on the bubble, definate downgrade target as long as he plays this week. Is listed as a defender as well.

Martin's head is definately on the chopping block. Particularly in D/T he is just to handball happy.

This is the same kid who won the kicking contest setup by Nathan Buckley for the draft camp so I'm really disappointed he isn't kicking the ball heaps

i'll wait a week.... martin for j selwood, he will drop another 20k and martin to rise a bit... fingers crossed lol ;)

GinoGod

Martin break even 17 so should rise bit more

I thought I would post all the updated B.E of the rookies seeing as though we're getting ever so closer to starting the cull. New b/e of rookies are as follows:

Moles:               -22
Davis:               -70
Schmidt:           -20
Jetta:                  4
Hams:               -58
Trengrove:        15
Scully:                24
Maguire:            37
Banfield:            23
Rockliff:             -17
Gumbleton:        2
Colyer:              -23
Melksham:         7
Kayler-Thomson: -108
Stratton:           -37
Petersen:          77
Bastinac:           16
Barlow:              -6
Morabito:          75
Martin:              30
Dea:                  -35
Nason:              12
Farmer:              2
Astbury:             -6
Taylor:               4
Lucas:               -27
Warnock:          23
Podsiadly:         -63

The only obvious name's that comes up on this list is Petersen with a B/E of 77, and Morabito with a B/E of 75. With averages of 61 and 60 it would seem unlikely that they will be able to B/E this week and will see a price decrease next week. Others to pay particular interest in next weekend are: Scully, Maguire, Banfield and Martin as all their B/E are above 20 so they need a good week to still have room to make good money from them.

Sorry Valkorum, I think he slipped under the radar like he has all of his career!

valkorum

hehehe -63 is still primed to make some more money :)

Cash cow's not only come from the base priced rookies as I've mentioned above, but also those returning from injuries, changed clubs over the summer, changed positions or roles in the team or were just hampered by terrible form last year. However, some of these just aren't keepers, some may actually turn into keepers! The list is as follows:

Hall:                   73
Dangerfield:      62
Malceski:            88
Kennelly:           39
Seaby:              70
Waters:            -14
Nic Nat:             65
Masten:            96
McKenzie:          36
Maguire:           37
Gray:                 121
Armitage:          69
Ball:                  112
Hille:                  16
McVeigh:           97
Ladson:             56
Warren:            56
Ziebell:              78
McPhee:            52
Ballantyne:        70
Warnock:           23
Hunt:                66

Sorry if I've missed anyone, I've just tried to pick out the player's that were spoken about on the thread a bit throughout preseason and the one's that featuered in many people's team during the preseason.

The one's that have been mentioned in regards to keepers are Malceski, Hille, possibly Maguire as a 7th back or eventually someone to sit on the pine and possibly Hall and and waters if recent form is consistent.

The cow's of this group that just seems to be eating your money and not making you any are Ball (-$21,700), Dangerfield (-$3,300), Masten (-$14,400), Armitage (-$6,300), Warren (-$2,500), Ziebell (-$5,900) and Mcphee (-$59,700). Gray seem's to be the next one in line with a B/E of 121 and another high B/E the week after unless he can score much better this weekend.

Waters, Hille, McKenzie and Maguire seem to still have plenty of growth in them, whereas the people one jumped on to the Seaby train early in the season wish they had of let it run by as he look's like any further potenial growth is limited. As for the Gray train, it never really got going after missing the first 3 rounds, then having two sup-par games which could result in a bitter price drop.

The Vibe Squad

If Peterson plays this week then im definitely culling him.
Who would've thought Gumby would still have such a low BE after his start to the season.  Quite happy i've got him tucked up on my bench now!
