The old Ablett or ... Captain thread

Should i go to Jonathon Brown as captain this week (playing Melbourne) or stick to my normal captain with Gary Ablett (Playing Carlton) or move to Heath Shaw (Playing Essendon)

GAJ perma captain, you will regret it less if he stuffs up than if Shaw stuffs up. When you change your captain it stings more if he doesn't perform.

You could change and take a punt at scoring an extra 20 or leave it with Ablett and take the 130-140 he gives you every week.

You can lose a whole lot more than you can gain though.

I think those who have Ablett and consider him an auto-captain need not post :)

For those of us who don't have Ablett, chosing a different Captain each week is a valid tactic...until we get Ablett that is  ;D

Yea, I'm waiting for the non-GAJ thread too (for the time being).

My options are:

• Swan - vs Essendon
• Brown - vs Melbourne
• O'Keefe- vs West Coast
• Barlow- vs Richmond  :P

O'Keefe got a massive score vs Adelaide, but I can see West Coast limiting him a tad. Swan went sub-100 vs Melbourne and Stk, so worried he's a little inconsistent.

Brown only got 81 last week but that was vs the Doggies and with a Fevola who found a little form. Against Melbourne...well things could get ugly.

And as for Barlow, he pulled 84 when tagged by Jones...imagine what he's going to do vs poor Richmond  :(

So...for me its Brown or Barlow atm, with Swan lurking.  Anyone dare me on Barlow?

Which is perfectly valid.  Just the OP was not wanting to put Ablett as capt.

I'm thinking Jobe Watson against Collingwood.

Reason number;
1. Collingwood dont have taggers.

2. If Essendon were to win, IF, then obviously Jobe Watson would be a big part.
