Done by 30, opponent was 175,000 behind in ranking - now that hurts!

I feel for you Prospector. I too was done by 71 pts. Scored 1982 with 1 donut, and my opponent 2053, yet last week only scored 1350 and was ranked 210K and was 190K behind in ranking. My opponent had 2 donuts, but managed to pick up 2 emergencies.

Wanted to save my trades, but could have traded Mitchell, or Boyd and saved my donut...  :-[

Unlucky Pros and Fletch. Get some guys who actually had a turn around.

P.S it goes by scores from the previous round on who you verse. Just noticed that. Some good teams will be ranked further down if they had a bad week.

A. Your opponent is decided based on the rankings from the previous week in the overall competition. Your opponent's team will be announced here around Thursday prior to the upcoming round and you'll be able to view their team line up and past record. If you make it to the final 64, a complete fixture of all participating teams will be made available.

im happy i snuck through by like 20 against a team with 4 donuts but had ALL the big scorers of the week

me too..  snuck in agsinst a pretty ordinary team, but considering i carried 2 dohnuts in midfield and my brand new acqusition captain (swann) had his worst game of the year... i'm pretty happyn to get through round 1...

recon i might struggle round 2 if my midfield players are still injured/out..as i just don't want to waste any more  trades at this stage

You'd be spewing if you got knocked out in round one of the emilinator, especially by a person who totally over achieved compared to his overall ranking!
