Yeah, congrats on beating us without our number one defender, ruck and Full Forward. Add in the fact that we had to travel all the way to your showerhole after a tough game against the Hawks and I'd say that beating us by just seven points was a pretty poor result really.

Hope you guys do make the finals so that our full side can smash the shower out of you and prove just how far away you actually are from being a true premiership threat.

No need to be a sore loser.  Great game of football and we were without our full back in Tarrant.

Master Q

Not trying to agree with Phenom (Sore loser) but those outs were big and tarrant didn't matter because mooney wasn't there :P I wanted Freo to win but i tipped the cats...

valkorum

I am not denying they were big outs, but they still got more talent across all lines than we do.  I just hate sore losers

At least you could say a win is a win.

freo played some pretty good footy today. tipped the cats though.

they are really going somewhere with the younger players really stepping up again. mora and hill were great in the glimpses i saw them.

Hey phenom, what a F@#KEN SOOK you are! :'( :'( :'( :'( 6 day turnaround, had to travel, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!! Well we travel every fortnight! Get over it! :)

No-ones getting carried away just yet. See you in a couple of years time, when you'll be without GAJ and all your stars will be over the hill! I can imagine all the excuses you'll have then! ;D

wipz

Your team had a very good game, especially GAJ and Chappy, but we were better and you were well beaten. GET OVER IT AND TAKE IT.

Geelong clearly aren't used to losing, looks like they don't handle it too well.

A very good win no doubt. Next week will be the test though beacuse lets face it, Freo's away form has been the long term question mark and one away win against an average side is not a good benchmark.

Then lets hope you smash the Weagles.

Go wipe your tears on the premiership cup!

LOL.

Fremantle were clearly the better team! And its entirely Mooney and Scarlett's fault for getting suspended.

.....The excuse will be that we are rebuilding and that our premiership players have left. Kind of like the excuse Freo have been using for their entire existence except without the premiership players part  :D

Pretty sure GAJ hasn't left yet either.

Wow.

When I saw this thread, I thought it would be an actual congrats thread, not a sarcastic whinge.

As a Cats fan, I will say it was a cracker of a game, nice and fast paced and bloody enjoying to watch. Do I wish that Geelong won? Yeah, of course I do, but considering its Round 3 and there is still another 19 rounds to be played, I'm certainly not ready to jump off the Westgate in despair.

Good job Fremantle, and congrats on the win

Master Q

I think this is geelongs last top 4 year and then it's back to the average team of 6-10...

ELLsendon

How long can they keep it up for?

Cruiseon

Time is funny, Carlton haven't won a final for 10 years. Just thought I'd throw that in, rebuilding or staying at the top is not an exact science.

The Cats have enough youngish blood there with Selwood, Ablett, Corey, Kelly, Harry Taylor, Byrnes etc

The rucks are an issue post Ottens and I think replacing Johnson & Chapman will be very difficult and not that far away.

I agree Gerco.  This weeks game is going to be tough, but the chance is there for us.  No Roo or Kossy does help our cause, but both teams records at Etihad are pointing towards a Saints win.  I said last week somewhere on this forum that I think we can beat Geelong but I believe the Saints will get the win this week.

If someone told me we would be 3 & 1 after the first month of footy I would have taken it in a heart beat.  If we can manage to get the wood over the Saints this week I will be over the moon.

Round 6 is the Derby against the Eagles and I also hope we smash them.  I have already booked that day with the missus that nothing is happening excpet watching the footy :)
