what is everyone thinking about betts?

i am thinking that this could be his breakout year but he wont get too many hundreds if yarran keeps playing and betts doesn't learn to kick straight.

Who has him and what would you expect him to become.

A mid-price who needs a big year,

the unique pick as a keeper or

just someone who is there to fill in the boots cause you can only afford a player at his price ($274 300)

I don't have Betts in my team this year. The reason why I didn't get Betts because being a specialist forward pocket player he could get some hundreds, but could just as likely get a low score as well. I don't expect him to become a premium this year but I do expect some improvement from him this year.

reason i say that is because had he kicked straight tonight (he kicked 3.5) he would of got 8 goals and his score would have been very impressive but does yarran being in the team as well affect his scores?

no eddie for me

next 5 weeks aginst quality opposition will probably have him the focus of best backman

though if he kicks 8 goals for the next 5 weeks i wouldn't complain ;D

He has played well on Shane Edwards and Henry Slattery, hardly star defenders.

i picked him originally because the forward structure without Fevola meant that they were to pick new key forwards and i wasnt 100 percent convinced about the marking skills that O Halpin and Henderson showed in preseason.

Even now 3 games in they aren't going to be good enough to get bags of goals but gives more opportunity to betts, garlett and yarran as the small forwards to score but having said that they may take points off each other.
