Okay Boys.....
This is the situation I'm in.
I want to trade out Ball because he has been a real shocker this year
So I was thinking of doing Ball to Bastinac and have 310k left over
and the Medhurst to O'keefe and still have 185k left over.....
So I would appreciate your thoughts on this.
:-[ :-X :-\ :'( ;) :o ::)

I'd hold off cuz i think he'll come good & end up a keeper, what have you been scoring the last 2 weeks with him & medhurst in?

jak_crow

im in a similar situation but ill be doing mcveigh to shuey and hall to brown

the way i see it is that you got ball in thinking he could be a keeper, say a 6th mid. so your end team would be 5 guns and ball. but it seems (hope your have barlow) that this may be barlows spot.

so just trade ball as a cash cow pretend he made you 300k and ungrade to ROK as it was alway gonna take 2 trades anyways :) sure its earlier then expected but go for it.

understand?

ps thoughts on my proposed mvceigh, sheuy, hall, brown trade?

Im going to hold on to Ball, his break even is 112 and i think its achievable.
Hes only had 2 games thus far and i do think he will become a keeper so i will be patient with him. How ever.. if after 5 games and he still doesnt crack the tonne then i will consider trading him.

Mish

need patience with ball, bastinac isnt guarrentied a spot every week and i highly doubt he will play every game... ball should become a keeper this year.

tomsdons

Yeh thanks boys... I do have Barlow
I'm lucky i've stayed off Hall- I expect Hall to come good at some stage..
My avg has been 2097
My Team is like this
BACK-Carrazzo, Hodge, Enright, Shaw, Malcheski, Ladson and Hunt  (Maguire and Nason)
MID-Bartel, Selwood, Mitchell, Barlow, Ball and Martin (Banner and Shuey)
RUCK-Sandi and Tippet (Warnock and Trengrove)
FORWARD-Riewoldt, Pav, Gian, Dangerfield, Medhurst, Warren and Gray (Gumbleton and Petersen)

Mish

your average is very solid, you shouldnt make any trades at all this early on in the season.

RobotNinja

Looking at your team, I agree, don't trade yet.

tomsdons

It's just simply the fact that i'm going to miss out on Brown and O'keefe cause they are going to go up and probably go out of my price range...
But im gonna take your advice and not trade

RobotNinja

That's a different motivation.  Trading out Ball because of a slow start seems like the wrong move.  Making trades to acquire ROK or Brown to beef up a patchy forward line might be worthwhile - just be sure of your strategy and go after it.  If in doubt, given 2 weeks in, best to show patience.

Mish

good players will have bad games and there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the season, more opportunities than you have in trades thats why its so crucial to save trades early on unless your looking to make money for future trades

GinoGod

Luke ball has only played 75% time on ground this season and still getting almost a point a minute.....his game time will increase...just needs to settle at new club

Flame

I thought of trading Ball too, but I'll keep him even though I'm annoyed with his scores!! So keep him, hopefully he comes good.

im tempted to trade him to mckenzie, use the cash made to upgrade ziebell to brown. then in 3 weeks time upgrade mckenzie to swan (as swans 84 last week will effect his price somewhat). so in the end ill have 2 premiums (one being a captain potential in swan) from 3 to 4 trades. not bad in my opinion. im currently sitting top 1000 and need a swan or ablett.
