Same here, I'm always up for a friendly. Preferably OD as my youth side is pretty crap at the moment, but I don't really mind :)

Played fletch in a youth friendly yesterday. The pitch was hard and the weather was sunny, a perfect day for cricket :)

Was sent in to bat and started off well, Rampaul and Horn combining for a 59 run opening stand. However disaster struck when Horn was trapped in front for 31 on the last ball of the 8th over. The very next ball my best batter Bobcat (acc/acc) was runout without facing a single ball!! :o

Adriaans then came in and steadied the ship, putting on a 115 run partnership with Rampaul before Rampaul fell for 77 in the 25th over leaving the score at 3 for 174. 6 overs later somehow managed to lose 3 wickets in the one over, leaving me reeling at 6 for 208 with 9 overs to go. It got worse from there and was actually bowled out for just 249 in the 37th over. BOWLED OUT ON A HARD DECK! It was a medium who did the damage too, taking 4 wickets :o

In defense of the small total for a hard pitch was always going to be hard. But amazingly somehow managed to do it despite Hyatt being left unbeaten on 126, and ended up winning by 5 runs :)

Game was a lot closer than it should have been according to the ratings, but oh well. Playing fletch's affiliate tomorrow, so I'm sure he'll be after revenge ;)
