Played Spin today in a friendly on a hard pitch. Bowled first and restricted them to 7 for 247, Brouwers the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 51. In response managed to chase down the target in just 36.4 overs, Wilkinson picking up the man of the match award for his 145 not out from 135 balls opening the innings. So in the end won by 7 wickets :)

Man, what a win. restricted them to 204 on a dry deck with my 2 spinners, then chased it in 43 overs. Dominated.

Nice job Shaggy :)

In transfer news I have decided to list Jafferjee and Farrell now. Jafferjee has had 8 weeks of bowling tech training since his last bowling pop and 6 weeks since his last tech pop. Farrell is the same, but for batting tech training, so 8 weeks since his last batting pop and 6 weeks for tech pop. So both aren't too far away from popping to accomplished in both primary skills :)

Also how much do you guys think I could sell Warwick for?

Torpedo10

Abdul has called tails and lost the toss. Ramzi ponders for a moment before deciding to bowl first. Torpedo's Titans will start their innings shortly.

The weather for the match is expected to be Cloudy and the groundsmen have prepared a Sticky pitch. Conditions look ideal for the spinners, ideal for the seam bowlers.

A crowd of 6,376 has arrived at Cherry Tree Chimps CG today for the One Day match between Cherry Tree Chimps and Torpedo's Titans.

Got 231. When he started was abit unsure whether I would win.

End of over 39 (3 runs) - Cherry Tree Chimps(183-4). 49 runs required from 11 overs. RR 4.69 RRR 4.45
R. Kudavidanage 32 (46b) , K. Kumarasiri 10 (10b) , A. Lovell 10-1-48-1

I had a very small chance of victory at this point and after a 7 run over up to 39.4 then this happened.

39.6   W   Schreurs to Kumarasiri : Tossed up on the middle and off stump line, the ball grips the surface and turns back in. Kumarasiri realises too late and although it strikes high on the pad, the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger.
K. Kumarasiri lbw b. L. Schreurs 11 (13b 0x4 0x6) SR:84.62

39.5   W   Schreurs to Kudavidanage : [catch] Kudavidanage has gone for a massive swipe, but has only managed to toe the ball in the air straight to McAndrew at mid-on.
R. Kudavidanage c B. McAndrew b. L. Schreurs 38 (49b 4x4 1x6) SR:77.55

Back into it.

40.6 McAndrew to Haiderally : Ouch! A great inswinging yorker crashes into Haiderally's back foot. They all go up in a huge appeal and finally the umpire's finger goes up. Interestingly, not only does the replay show that was going well down leg side, it also shows Haiderally had limped nearly a whole leg bye before the finger went up. Insult to injury...
M. Haiderally lbw b. B. McAndrew 1 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR:33.33

End of over 41 (3 runs) - Cherry Tree Chimps(193-7). 39 runs required from 9 overs. RR 4.71 RRR 4.33
L. Yoganathan 0 (0b) , D. Vonhagt 2 (3b) , B. McAndrew 9-0-48-4

Now I am probs 40/60 of winning.

End of over 48 (1 run) - Cherry Tree Chimps(225-8). 7 runs required from 2 overs. RR 4.69 RRR 3.50
B. Ranatunga 1 (5b) , D. Vonhagt 29 (38b) , L. Schreurs 9-0-40-2

Kappa nabs 2 wickets and I should still lose.

End of over 49 (5 runs) - Cherry Tree Chimps(230-9). 2 runs required from 1 overs. RR 4.69 RRR 2.00
B. Ranatunga 2 (6b) , M. Najeeb 4 (4b) , R. Kapugedera 10-1-33-2
Schreurs now has mission impossible.

49.1   1   Schreurs to Najeeb : [missed runout] Najeeb drops the ball and sets off riskily, Ranatunga wasn't quite prepared reacts slowly. Schreurs kicks the ball and misses the stumps! Maybe he should have used his hands?

ARRGGHHH. Would be good if I drew now. Next 2 balls dots then Schreurs does another good deed.

49.4   .   Schreurs to Ranatunga : [great fielding] Inspirational! Ranatunga absolutely smashed that back down the pitch and it would have gone to the fence if Schreurs had not dived across the pitch to brilliantly stop the ball. Looks like he is thinking about calling for the magic spray.

Unluckily he got a run last ball to come out victor by 1 wicket.

Out rated clearly and still put up some sorta fight. Interestingly the 3 votes all went to my players clearly with McAndrew getting 125 pts. What is absolutely crazy is Schreurs only got 37 Fantasy pts, CRAZY.

Thought ratings would be around 150K :S

Sherriff heard I had been talking about dropping him..

He responded greatly today :D

8.3-2-21-6 = his best bowling ever, even if it was against a bot.

Cookie311993

Rather weak ratings nails. We were so close earlier this season, now I am up to 156k while you are at 145k

JBs-Hawks

Middle order is holding the ratings down

Yesterday's friendly ratings. Not sure what happened in the OD match, I don't think they were fatigued :S

Unless Samkange is that much better than Sherriff  :-\

EDIT: I see what happened, I used orders from a previous match and adjusted slightly...

Didn't realise I left an 18/19yo spud in the lineup... was from the U24 league where a youth is necessary.

JBs-Hawks

It's your middle order ratings. All breakdowns quite similar other than middle order.

Lost to baz last night by 6 runs. Decided to play a few youngsters in the team for experience and they performed pretty well. Bowled first on a crumbling pitch and had baz 2 for 3 but then they managed to put some partnerships together and finished at 7 for 212. Sheffield was their top scorer with 51 from 91 balls, it's a shame my players managed to drop him twice when he was on 43, those 8 runs would have won me the game! Had a terrible time in the field dropping 5 catches!! In reply to their 212 we were bowled out with 10 balls to go just 6 short :(
