Is the player replacing him, has over 3k SR so hopefully clsoe to a fielding pop. Will take him to reas fielding, like i do with most of my youths, then go to primaries. :D May chuck another fielding along the way, will also get 2nd preference when playing for exp in Seniors, behind Paul Aronstam.

Hey PB. Sorry to ask a dumb question but see above in bold where you say the player's SR means they are close to a pop - I'm just wondering what the 'SR' is... I've really got no idea how close my players are to a pop, and this would be really helpful. Cheers.

Ahh yes, something that everyone asks.

so every player has skills, and from those skills we see a players rating. so when someone has a reasonable skill, they have somewhere between 5000 and 5999 rating points in that skill. So by using this:

atrocious = 500
dreadful = 1000
poor = 2000
ordinary = 3000
average = 4000
etc...

you will get a players base ratings. So taking the player i bought as an example, add them all up it goes to 20'000, and as his rating shows 23'374 it means he has 3'374 "spare ratings" (SR) which are hidden in skills we do not know. So someone with high Spare Ratings is closer to a pop than someone with low SR. :)
