I need a spinner though, so the fact he's a fs is probably a bonus...

480k for Pyke but he is an FM and has a useful talent.
Like Nails said though, the market is ridiculous at the moment. Tough to compare sales from a few seasons ago to the sales now. Definitely glad I rebuilt when I did though, It'd be tough to do it now.

Just realised I've been going about this the wrong way:

So really for a proper/decent XI... I need 2 batters really don't I? Even if I buy an AR, that AR would replace a bowler and I'd still need a batter...

Now the question arises, do I still go for that AR and buy 2 batters later or do I just go for 2 batterss now and depend on my bowlers' batting skills (Sherriff reas batter, Samkange ave batter)

Any thoughts?

I think you mean 2 bats instead of 2 ARs there. Anyway.
Either way I'd definitely say that you need to pick up batsmen. I've always seen having an AR in the squad something that's handy but ultimately not needed to make a good team - Especially at higher levels.

However, having 5 bats is not optional. That has got to be priority number one for you. Selling Rane, Simon and Voros (was it Voros) has weakened your batting stocks considerably. Unless you have a surplus of a certain type of player (ie. 8 batsmen) you need to replace the players you sell. In this case, batsmen.

Getting an AR can wait.

The Matchbox Matadors won by 11 runs

Was playing against my affiliate with a weakened team (5 seniors, 6 youths), trying to get a gauge on what I would rate and still beat my round 1 pav cup opponent who rated 134k in his most recent friendly. I batted first on a slow pitch and was bowled out for 188 in 46.3 overs. In reply managed to bowl the Sloggers out for 177 in 45.4 overs.
