The only pitch I bat first on is Flat.

Statistics will show that batting first on a Hard, more often than not loses. All other pitches are bowling doges, so once their players are tired from batting, they can then come out and field ;)

Playing HP in a youth friendly today on a dry pitch (trying to work out how to beat him next week on the same pitch ;))

He batted first and finished at

L. Rabou 8 (11b) , I. Yousef 41 (36b) , A. Beattie 8-0-36-3

Pretty annoyed by that to be honest, considering after 28 overs he was 6 for 85. So in the final 12 overs he scored 97 runs and lost just 2 wickets!!  >:( ::) >:(

surprisingly had an easy win in the end. Chasing down the target in 35.4 overs losing just 2 wickets! :o

Not a bad player - if he was accom/accom he would go for a lot more.  Secondaries are good
