Embarrased by my performance last night... :-[ At least I got some experience into 4 of my Youths :) Still in 3rd, play 4th next week. Have to decide now whether the extra $9k prizemoney is better than the experience for the youths...

The above was my dilemma last week... Well I played 4 Youths, and still got the extra 9k :D

TBH, a 26.2% deficit in ratings could only be achieved IMO, on 2 wickets, a Stcky, or a Hard pitch, which is what I was on last night, and batting second on a Hard pitch has been shown to provide more chance of winning, than batting first, so I always bowl first on a Hard wicket if I can...

I had 2 Fast bowlers playing last night, they are the only players who go on Agro spells on a Hard wicket, and my out/out medium, Jirongo who took 4 wickets was on Defensive spells keeping the RR tight. I think that helped. Even my avg/avg/avg 16yo AR RM managed to take 2 wickets towards the death on defensive spells.

I got lucky too :D

Wow what a win Fletch.

I have generally found T20 to be quite unpredictable with results and teams with lower ratings causing upsets. It is a lot easier to 'hide' lower skilled players in T20 compared to SOD. With batsman friendly pitches you usually only need 4 or 5 batsman, and bowlers aren't exposed as much as they bowl less overs.

Basically there is a lot more luck involved with T20, which is exactly what it is like in RL.

Well done fletch! That puts to shame my 32k upset I had earlier on this season in my T20 league! My game was on a slow pitch and batted first though ;)

Thanks Gents ;)  Well it shows that perhaps it's not just the pitch that can lead to the upset, it's the type of cricket, so T20 is obviously more likely to cause an upset than SOD or YOD games, well to that extent anyway.

One good point you make Baz is that you are able to hide ordinary bolwers, batsman, etc. For instance my 16yo AR and an 18yo cap/cap as well were able to be hidden amongst the bowlers
