Never said I deserved to promote when I did that, I was trying to steal promotion. It's like say free agency is in the AFL

If GWS are sitting 10th after 18 rounds and then thanks to cap allowances etc. manage to recruit: J. Brown, D. Swan and M. Suckling does that mean they deserve to win the premiership when they sneak into 8th because they bought their team at the last minute?

I wouldn't think so. I'd say the Lions who are sitting 1st that season and have been doing it all year with an unchanged team would deserve it.

The only reason he was even a CHANCE at being top was due to my poor-ish management. I could have been miles ahead but I rested my 3 best batters and a bowler and lost a match earlier in the season. If I didn't rest players that much I would have won easily and it would have been mathematically impossible for him to catch me considering my 14th match was always a sure thing.

Well that isnt his fault Nails - that is yours for playing bad tactics.  If he had of promoted over you because of this then that would mean he had the better tactics for the season and therefore he deserved to promote over you.

so? he managed his team better than you did, to give himself the best chance of finishing on top, so if he had of, he still would have been the best for the season

This is the same for me in SOD, where there were 4 teams who consitently rated better than me for the whole season, but due to superior tactics I'll promote, does that mean I deserve too, I don't think so, but I had the best team on the day and thats who deserves to promote. One team rated 20k more than me, which I beat on both occasions too...

I think whoever is on top of the ladder after the first round should win the cup as then it is fair.
