Academy investment prices are ridiculous!
Glad i'm not starting the game now...
Yeah I am investing 151k this week! It is insane!!
WTF :o. I'm investing a total of $136,000 for improvement from Lavish in both. Going for Improving+ for one of your CF?
Yeah got youth on improving++...

Justin Bieber

Yeah, it's pricey now we've reached the top end of Academy levels :P.

I don't think he set his orders as he is in Bali for 4 days for a work function, left at 7am this morning and I don't think Ditchmen opens the bowling lol.
Ah that explains it :P

Lost to GS by 6 wickets despite outrating him by 3k >:(. His team played better on the day but this means my Seniors will get dropped/rested in the PC (besides those who need the Experience).

Cicjose

does anyone know why a team would deliberately throw a SOD by playing youth?

4 reasons.

1. They are throwing the match to rest their Seniors for the Pav Cup.
2. They are resting for a big T20 game next week.
3. They have a bunch of oldies who need to rest before Pav Cup.
4. They are stupid and know no better :P.

I'd go with the first option as the most likely, check his World rankings. If he's fairly high, then it's your answer.

I am leaning towards youth farm

Justin Bieber

Taking a look at his squad, he's farming his Youths. So he's only playing his youths to build up their experience as his Seniors are just fillers (besides 1). Many teams do this as they forfeit Seniors to build from Scratch.

My Pav Cup match on Sunday I'm throwing. Have only 5 Seniors players, 2 Bowlers and 3 Bats. To add to this, All my bowlers are set to Aggressive on the Slow/Humid ;D.

Cicjose

okay but isnt it easier to get decent seniors first cause thats where the money is?

It is although if they already have the money, it takes a while but by the time these youths turn 20, they'll have crazy Experience like Accomplished+. It's short/medium term loss (for 4-6 season) for long term game (which he won't see for another YEAR at least of real time).

I don't like Youth Farming. I only play Youths if I'm resting as he's basically throwing Senior games for the next couple of seasons (which is only a viable option if you have ALOT of dough and a good YA).

Fatigue is good on my side atm. Weak round 2 pavilion cup opponent will allow me to save more fatigue.  Should able to play full strength in round 3
