My 22yo all-rounder has a higher wage than your 32yo A/R lol.

Nails, what are your plans if you actually succeed in promoting this season. The players you currently have won't be competitive in higher divisions as their skills will rapidly decrease

My 20 y.o has a higher wage as well, and by a fair bit :o

Haha yeah I still can't seem to shake the feeling that I had to pay more than what he was worth. But I suppose in the end he will be at the club for a long time, and having a quality AR FM in my squad will prove useful I'm sure.

Yeah I thought he was a bargain for $78k .. his experience is a bonus. He is on AR training until he reaches reliable batting, then I will leave him on bowling training for a few seasons. Hopefully he can get to spec bowl/tech when he is 25.

Accom/spec/spec would be ideal but not sure I can get him there without sacrificing secondaries which I don't want to do. I guess we'll just have to wait and see ;)

I'm lucky with Vettel as his secondaries were very good when I bought him.

Try to train Pyke on all-rounder training once his fielding is done. AR training trains about 10% more than normal primary training. Then switch him to bowling training when you are happy with his batting. He probably won't get to spec bowling for a long time if you decide to aim for acc batting.

I am going to Accomplished Batting, which could be a mistake.
Once he pops (5 weeks or so) he will be Acc/Exp/Exp 22 year old with Capable Experience and only average fielding.
Don't know whether I should keep or sell.. he is a Medium if that helps.

His fielding could hurt you with the new changes to the match engine. I would try to get his fielding to at least capable before training his primaries any further. His primaries and experience are handy for his age. I think you should keep him if you are prepared to waste a season on fielding training.

He might take some time, but player predictor show he will be worth it.

Definitely not worth it. Like Maca said his experience is not great for his age. Also his wage suggests that he has only just hit spec/spec.
