Can a player miss training?

Say I buy a player from Scotland at 7:00 (They train at 9:00) and I'm in Bangladesh (we train at 2:00)

Does this player simply miss a training update? This makes these players less attractive to me and I was just wondering if they miss training or there is something to counteract this?

I read somewhere that yes they can.

Ash has already been asked in V3 and it has been confirmed they miss out. Not sure if it works the other way though he just said good question (nothing new) ::)

In the long run makes little diff though.

It's actually Maca's player that I'm considering as he has 4.5K spare ratings missing out on training = yuck :(

If only you listed him after training tonight Maca!

Yes, they miss out, but only for this week. I saw one of my players ratings increase by about 600 in one week because I bought him in a similar situation.
