because bee is the only one left who can tell the face of the bat with the handle out there now

39.2   6   Texel to Christian : Texel drops one short on the leg side and the grateful Christian hoists it over square leg for six.

that is Christian's first ever six and he has only ever hit 1 four in his career as well

End of over 42 (maiden) - Cicjose(172-10) RR 4.10
W. Flynn 14 (19b) , D. Stone 5.1-3-3-1

41.1   W   Stone to Christian : [catch] Christian was drawn into a poor shot by an excellent piece of bowling by Stone. A simple catch for Sweeney and Christian's innings comes to an end.
W. Christian c J. Sweeney b. D. Stone 10 (9b 0x4 1x6) SR:111.11

Stone 23 consecutive dots to finish his first spell and an innings finishing wicket for the 1st ball of his new spell.

The Spinners killed it when they bowled picking up 8/67 from the 3 of them... Shame I didn't just bowl 5 spinners  ;D

Doogie

think you got it in the bag mate.

Ud din is a good bowler but big wage is a downer at your stage.

If i were you i'd sell him and get someone younger with good exp

That is the 100 partnership (100 runs, 126b, 10x4, 1x6) SR:79.37

Great opening partnership boys!

Only one chance that has been handed out which was Siddiq dropped on 26.

Both the batsmen on 49 now... who will bring up the 50 first :o

      That is 50 runs for Siddiq (53 runs, 80b 7x4 1x6) SR:66.25

21.4   4   Addison to Siddiq : [misfield] Lansdown puts a foot out but can't manage to stop the ball. Perhaps he should try using his hands next time?

Great stuff mate, gave up that one chance but haven't looked back, solid batting champ.

That is 50 runs for Stone (50 runs, 53b 4x4 0x6) SR:94.34

22.1   1   Christian to Stone : Straight back down the ground and the bowler is able to get a hand on it. With Siddiq backing up, if that had hit, he would be gone. Luckily, it misses the stumps and the batsmen pick up a single.

Great innings Stone, a flawless 50, great stuff! MOTM

Considering the wages of the rest of his squad...seems dumb. Don't see how in the long run that would help as 'at this stage' his academy is low and young players will be wasted.

Don't doubt my youngn's I'll train 'em into guns even if my academy level defies it  8)

Let's just say my players like to use something that rhymes with purveyance advancing aids... (at least the internet says they rhyme)

26.1   W   Christian to Stone : [catch] A loose delivery from Christian pitched wide outside the off stump. Stone leans back and cuts hard, ending up with a feather touch and French holds on well to a fairly hard chance.
D. Stone c D. French b. W. Christian 52 (63b 4x4 0x6) SR:82.54

Bad luck mate, great innings... might not be a shoe in for MOTM anymore...

26.2   W   Christian to Simon : [catch] Fuller in length and wide outside the off stump, Simon goes for an expansive drive and the ball goes straight to Thumper at backward point. The bat turned at the point of impact and the ball went high up towards the fielder who timed his jump perfectly.
R. Simon c T. Thumper b. W. Christian 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

WTFFF my world is falling apart!

28.4   W   Christian to Siddiq : [catch] Short of a good length delivery on the stumps, Siddiq makes room and takes a swing. The ball clips the top edge and balloons up to mid-on.
S. Siddiq c T. Thumper b. W. Christian 65 (106b 9x4 1x6) SR:61.32

Great innings Sid dawg... 9 runs and a wicket off that over... 3 down and only 38 runs to chase, should make it provided we don't collapse too quickly.

Helps that the next guy in is a spin specialist.

Good game Cic :)

I think you really need to work more on your bowling orders... you let your spinners come on last... i.e. spells 4 and 5 and had them on for 9 and 10... if you had them for 3 + 4 and 8 it might have been a bit different...

Your two spinners bowled 3/43 between them and your Seamers 0/127... should probably bowl your spinners earlier on that kind of pitch... but that said I'm a n00b so I'm just guessing.

AFEV

Always changes depending on pitch but a lot of the time my lfs/rws come on together at 3/4 then again at 7/8 or 9/10. As I said differs on pitches and weather.

Nails

Yeah I figured this was prime spinner time though..

Crumbling = heavy bonus for spinners, slight bonus for seamers

Hot = no penalty for spinners (is there a bonus or not?), penalty for seamers

therefore heavy bonus to spinners... nothing to seamers, therefore wanting to get your spinners in there ASAP and taking wickets.

Looking at Cic's bowling lineup, Cic you really need a strike power IMO... you have 2 economical finger spinners, 2 economical mediums and your one strike bowler is a LFM who only has poor power...

Then again I'm a n00b and probably talking out of my anus.

PowerBug

I tend to bowl my spinners (Ameer and Schulting) 3+4 and 7+8 or 9+10 it depends on how much rest i choose to give them.
