Noel Venkasammy - Bought for 25k. Probably an overpay by about 5-10k. He's a handy Project though.

Makes it 9 Bowlers in my Youth (:o especially when you see they are only Spinners or Mediums). 5 Pure batters, 1 Keeper but 3 Bowlers who can bat a bit to help out.

Not bad, but I always try and avoid people with atrocious experience...

6.5   W   Harding to French : [catch] There's a sound! And it's given! Just too quick for French to react to that. His swing was late and the edge was noticeable.
H. French c A. Susarla b. T. Harding 9 (15b 1x4 0x6) SR:60.00

15.5   W   Fenton to Astle : [stumped] Fenton loops the ball down, drags Astle into a front foot drive but rips the ball away, Susarla collects and before you can say Bob's your uncle, the bails are off. The 3rd umpire is consulted but the confident celebrations tell the decision early, superb work behind the stumps, Astle's foot just slipped out.
N. Astle st A. Susarla b. L. Fenton 14 (24b 0x4 0x6) SR:58.33

16.1   W   Elliot to Christie : [catch] There's a noise as that goes through to Susarla and Elliot turns and appeals. Glove? Bat? Christie's arthritic wrists playing up? Doesn't matter, umpire says it's out.
M. Christie c A. Susarla b. A. Elliot 46 (58b 5x4 0x6) SR:79.31

18.1   W   Elliot to Guillard : [stumped] Sleek work from Susarla, no need for the replay. The batsman's patience gave way as he shimmied and shuffled down the pitch. Elliot saw him coming and cleverly dragged it down, completely beating him with some sharp spin.
M. Guillard st A. Susarla b. A. Elliot 1 (9b 0x4 0x6) SR:11.11

23.3   W   Harding to Clarke : The stump cam has been damaged by that delivery from Harding. Bye bye Clarke.
D. Clarke b. T. Harding 10 (22b 0x4 0x6) SR:45.45
The keeper has paid off. Already 4 chances taken :D

PowerBug

Luigi , we are in for a close one. My two new spinners vs your 3 and 7-11 batting line-up.

PowerBug

Could it get any worse.

43.4
.
Schulting to Anderson : [dropped] That's skied to mid-wicket where Dorenagama is fielding and drops one he should have taken. Schulting and Taylor shake their heads in disbelief as Dorenagama looks for a shady spot to hide.

and then:

Schulting to Anderson : [dropped] Anderson's not got onto that as well as he'd hoped. Yardley is out in the deep and it goes down! Oh dear... and if it could get any worse for Schulting there's 2 runs more to the score.

End of over 44 (3 runs) - Luigi Industries(220-6). 22 runs required from 6 overs. RR 5.00 RRR 3.67
W. Anderson 10 (15b) , L. Cannon 77 (99b) , R. Schulting 7-0-32-1

PowerBug

Oh come on!!!

45.4
.
Schulting to Anderson : [dropped] Uppishly played towards cover, Yardley dives forward, gets his hands underneath the ball, but then somehow manages to drop the ball.

Yardley could be dropped just because he can't catch. Nails i hope you see why you need to have good fielders.

PowerBug

All over. Luigi wins by 4 wickets, well played.

Herman (LI) 3 votes, Cannon (LI) 2 votes, Tonge (PB) 1 vote.
