He's listed as "ordinary" which is the same as my other keeper (greater fielding but lower keeping) but lets a LOT more byes through  ???

Wouldn't say he's a steal but a good buy nonetheless 8). Nice batter with handy fielding for a new team (e.g most Seniors new teams but have bad fielding).

Yep planned to, was just waiting for this gun to be transferred into my squad :P

Batsman/keeper suitable training?

Batting all the way. Too low for Keeper, so turn to the market to look for a Player with better Keeping (At least Capable at this stage for Seniors, but a decent one has Accomplished). Don't worry too much about batting when you start as that inflates the price. Can always play him down the order if he has pretty ordinary batting skills.

Can anyone give me a valuation on this guy Barry McMillan?

I've been watching him since he was released on the TM. I know his skills are a bit down, but I'm selling Boag ATM, and I need a new Captain. His Experience/Captaincy is too good to ignore.

Experience is pretty good for his age. Skills need work but if you are willing to invest him him, could go to 75k or so 8).

He looked like he was going to go for like 8,000.... knew it was too good to be true... 36.75K too much?

If I were you I would train him on keeping till he gets to accomplished then change to batting technique
