If you want to train him up a bit more yes, I was going to say no way and it probably is no way...

but with Gifted batting and a technique bonus during matches, he could be a star! You could make him a great batsmen and his technique will always be getting boosted whilst playing so he should be an out and out STAR for your side imo.

Keep in mind I'm a n00b though.

Can't promise I'll use them, might test them in a friendly :P but aggressive/defensive seems to work pretty well so far... I don't know :(

HP... Phil Caban isn't in my top 6 batters (when I do suggest line up) yet whenever I put him in there myself he just keeps performing every single match! WHY?!?! Should I just select him in myself each week? :(

I got him opening the bat on defensive and he's 9 from 16 atm.

Its always hard to find AR's on the market though so hmm.

First off with the Batting orders. I generally play my Best batsman at 3 (after getting some advice of my own). Batters with decent Endurance are my openers, and Aggressive batsmen come in the middle order, with usually 1 on Aggressive as to not cause any collapse due to over ordering.

1. Claude Perrins
2. Rene Simon
3. Anshuman Murugappa - Defensive as he is your best bat and needs to stay in as long as he can.
4. Dane Sidebottom - He's pretty good player to start out with but skills behind alot of others his age. He was probably your #1 player in the start up team and his experience is Great for a 20 year old.
5. George Watts - Aggressive.
6. Phillip Caban - Wicketkeeper
7. Rohan Hutton - Defensive.
8. Jarrod Theak - Aggressive.
9. Asif Ud-Din
10. Billy Maddox
11. Fred Draper - 18 year old but he is actually one of your better bowlers.

Could switch around and move Watts out for Neil Horton to be your Keeper as well if you want. If Caban performs, may as well keep him in then as I somehow rate him as well :P. Best to save a default lineup you like and tweak it before the match to what you want. I rarely do suggest lineup as sometimes I'd rest players or change around their bowling orders.

Many of your players aren't that great so would certainly look at Cap/Cap Players on the market for 1k to fix your team short term and make them competitive. Or can wait until all the 19/20 y.o's fill the market in coming weeks, where you could pick up Rel/Rel players for quite cheap.

For Bowling, an Uneven pitch would suit you well. Other pitch would be Green but that disadvantages Ud-Din a bit so makes me suggest Uneven ahead of it.

Jarrod Theak - 3 (D) & 8
Asif Ud-Din - 4 & 9 (A)
Billy Maddox - 1 (A) & 6 (D)
Fred Draper - 5 & 10

It's hard to really put together great orders with some of your players having similar abilities but this is probably the one I'd go with within going too indepth.

Guess we are all going for the higher waged players nowadays :P. Under 200k seems a decent buy considering he's a FM as well.
