Good Ratings RB. You will have the edge in Game 3  8)
Thanks. My ratings have hardly fluctuated in the last 2 months I reckon, but it's good to consistently get 180k now. Used to be 181k one week and 172k the next. Hopefully I can snare a gun batsman for Jaseam's replacement.

Yeh ive been rating 175K. Think Ill fall hard after EOS though.

Your team is probably younger than mine though. Mines young bar the four 29yr olds.

Don't think I can wait until EOS :(

I need guns and I want them now :((((((

Dude if you want a competitive team long term, you need to stop your spending, save some $$$ and find a few bargains at EOS. Many of the players you are buying atm are way overpriced.

You may think that you need to buy players now, but whoever you buy now won't help you in your leagues for the remainder of this season. You would be best advised to save as much money as possible and build your team at EOS.

Also, you shouldn't be buying any youths or investing in you youth academy, for now. You can start doing this when you get your senior side settled, as gate takings, sponsorship and prizemoney are much better for seniors - not to mention that there are two senior competitions compared to only one in youths.

Exactly right baz. Think his best approach would of been to sit back until EOS and save up his pennies.
Then snag 11 youngish players to develop, and then invest in SA for the rest of the season.

baz is right, i learnt the hard way about the youth academy :P i got away with it a bit though as i now have 3-4 players who are good prospects to make my senior team, where if i had a completely dud academy i would doubt that they would make it

AFEV

I remember investing 50k in my youth academy for the first 2 weeks. Anything else would have been a better investment.
Young teams FTW! I'll post my squad ages after school.

I had my youth investment on about $45k for about six weeks, from memory my seniors investment was below $20k. Luckily for me I started about a week before EOS, meaning I picked up plenty of younger guys for basically nothing, which I sold later for a handy profit  :)

Here are my team ages:

AGE    -   NO OF PLAYERS
20        -        7
21        -        1
22        -        3
26        -        1

My 26yr old will be sold at EOS and I will be ilooking for the best 20yr old batsman I can find.

cookie311993

Couple of players on the market atm
Scott Walker- http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=556875 Batter
Shofi Ashraful- http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=567193 Spin Bowler

Cheap players for you nails.

Fletch74

Just for the record, I will be selling my oldies at EOS and going young too. I will be in Div 3 in all comp's so the experience will be good. I will then build up my Academy to Lavish.

ATM here is my squad...

AGE     -     NO. OF PLAYERS
21            -      1
22            -      2
23            -      3
25            -      1
26            -      2
28            -      3

At EOS I will be selling my 3 28yo's plus 1 26yo, and my 21yo as he is just not up to scratch. I will have 1 19yo coming up that I will keep, and will be buying 20-21yo's to replace those who I've sold.

The one 26yo I am keeping is on the verge of being a spec/spec batsmen with Skilled Batting - Just too good to let go!! He's made 20 centuries in his 82 SOD innings (absolute gun)
