Not worth that money.

Don't look at rating numbers. Look at actual skills.

Try and get reliable/reliable or even accomplished/accomplished players for now.

Reading rules as we speak and used my new knowledge to recruit a youth. This guy is one of only two fast bowlers in my side he's (rf). He's the best of the two and being a rare FAST bowler, I should train him up yes? What's the best thing to do with this guy?

Considering he's a youth with a bit of potential and is rf, could I sell him for $ perhaps? My team really lacks bowlers at the moment! Well, it lacks everything but against cicjose I imagined to score ~250 but got hit for ~460.

MajorLazer

He's ok, but you might as well keep him. Near the end of the season so he won't sell for much.

You get to pull a youth every Monday. The same time as you would play league matches.

CrowsFan

Yeah you wont be able to sell him sorry nails. 17 years old with ord/ord and no power he wont sell.
But will be good for your youth team since he also has the OBB talent :)

Nails

Should I be putting money in my youth academy to train him up?

He's Pakistani so I have been getting Shoaib Akhtar to give him personal training.

CrowsFan

Not at this point no.
Focus on your senior academy before youths. Unless you want to focus on youths, but there is more money in the senior squad ;)

Worth a punt I'm guessing? Problem is if I pump in $8k to my senior academy as planned I only have $44K... guessing this player will go for ~$42K

MajorLazer

Don't go too high for him. I'll make a list of cheap guys you should go for. :)

Thanks ML/CF :) Appreciate the help. Doing my best to kick butt.

In my one day and youth leagues I'm only just one spot away from relegation but now that I know what I'm doing and have taken my team away from the computer I plan on making it bounce back and we're going to destroy the opposition.

I'm division 5 in youth and 6 in both of the others.

so I'll soon be: Youth 5, One day 6, T20 7 :(

Those guys are young, but don't have very good secondaries.

Older guys that are very good that may go very high.

They could be too good, but I'm not sure. Hope I helped. :)

Thanks ML :) sure did. How important are secondaries? I mainly look at technique, power, batting/bowling.

Which are the "secondaries" exactly?

I bid on your 1st, 3rd and one of the older players links (forgot which) :)

MajorLazer

Secondaries are power, endurance, fielding and even experience.

Experience is really important.

Endo is fairly important, but it's not worth training on it's own cos it gets trained anyway.

Power is useful for batsmen and F and FM bowlers. Spinners need less power. Power trains faster after 23-24 years old.

Fielding, I think, is really important and trains quicker when the player is younger.

Technique, Batting, Bowling and Keeping are considered primaries in my mind.

They are more important than secondaries and technique is very important. Tech and batting/bowling should be the same or one level apart at the most.

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=430056 for up to $29,500 would he be worth it?

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=553733 what if I get this guy with shocking secondaries for under 10k?

Decent allrounder worth $28,750 or below? http://www.fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=293669

MajorLazer

1st and 2nd not worth it.

3rd isn't bad. :)

I can sell you a couple of my 19 year olds soon. They are ok. :)

Ask others if they have any 19 year olds they are willing to sell.
