So in my game ended up bowling out maca for 169 in 42.4 overs. Priya was as usual the best bowler picking up 3 for 33 from 10, Suri also did well (2 for 51 from 10) as did Orange (2 for 18 from 6.4).
So was set a target of 170 and managed to chase that down in 42.5 overs (1 run longer than it took maca to get 169) losing just 5 wickets. Standout batsmen was Deem who was left not out on 69 from 72 balls. Knight also pitched in at the top of the order with 35 from 72 balls.

Man of the Match
3: Robert Deem - 69* (72b)
2: Abhipuspa Priyadarshin - 3 for 33 from 10
1: Atul Suriyaprakash - 2 for 51 from 10 plus 15* (20b)

Match Ratings:
Gatha Scorpions    The Matchbox Matadors
Batting - Top Order:    8,703    7,835
Batting - Middle Order:    6,542    6,561
Batting - Tail:    3,618    4,629
Bowling - Seam:    7,964 (6)    8,363 (6)
Bowling - Spin:    11,380 (4)    11,375 (4)
Fielding/Keeping:    8,050    8,125
Overall:    142,631    143,681

Very close match ratings all round with both our spin ratings the standout, however where my spinners managed to pick up 5 wickets, maca's only got 3. Only real difference was between our top order and seamers.

Great game maca. That now puts me 3 nil up in matches against you, however in one of them it was an upset when you out rated me by 10k but I still got the win. I'm sure you'll beat me next time though, Brock Lesnar is a gun at only 22!!
I will beat you CF!!! :P yes great game, well deserved.
I sold my starting seamer so had2 play sharif reli/acc. dont think it made a huge diff though..
Ill give you a rematch sometime next season ;)
also, yes lesnar is a freak :)

im in 4th position playing 3rd in my league and am really struggling to bat on a flat deck

My seniors better learn quickly about how to beat top sides

Needing Lansdown to bat out all the overs more than ever right now

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/commentary.htm?gameId=972167&showall=true

M. Lansdown, L. Razzak are tired. (Lansdown hasnt played in a week and is tired after 15 overs ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH)

CrowsFan

Lansdown is tired because he only has ordinary endurance. If you want him to bat longer you need to work on his endurance so he wont become tired so quickly

I really need to improve my batting tail... thats whats lacking in my ratings  :o

Your tail is not so important Maca, they're only the last 3 players. Looking at your ratings you would need to build up some of your top 8 batsmen, that's where the bulk of your rating problem lies IMO, and possibly Seam bowling.

8-6 Suited

Anyone notice the problems with setting orders lately? Chris (GS) came over and set the orders for his game as his PC is dead last night and I saw them... I know what is going on in his game now isn't it. So I can only think that it changed despite saving them.

Either way, he is getting flogged.

End of over 39 (3 runs) - The Dutch Ovens(184-4) RR 4.72
D. Tabligh 90 (122b) , A. Cafoor 5 (11b) , S. McBourne 10-1-35-4

McBourne with 4. Mushy bowled 5, 1 spinner missing on a crumbler... Let's see what happens in the last 10.

CrowsFan

My tail is relatively strong (when it comes to tails), but the rest of my batting is quite rubbish haha

8-6 Suited

Yup another one of his batsmen is bowling. This could cost him 1st place.

Wow great win HP!!!
Haha I have noticed there are a few people who get extremely mad when they lose even though they rate higher, but then I don't hear them complaining when they pick up a win when they have been out rated. They then call that better tactics ;)
HAHA!! I've noticed and it's happened to me once in Youths last season :'(. Annoyed me as it was one of my only losses for the season!

Cic :'(. A decent score posted at least?

Jeffers the stand out batsman in my innings with 51 with little cameos by others and another end of the innings performance by Flanagan with another bowler (Bennett). That little batting is coming in handy for that little extra!! 201 is the run chase for BB's team!

BB's innings start and loses 3 wickets in the first spell. Durant and Hemming were starting to put together a good partnership before Flanagan strikes Hemming and Angus in succession in the 22nd over. Harding comes in and starts hitting it after the break. Durant got to 64 before him and the next batsman Fenton both fell to Goss. 140-7 at this stage with 62 runs needed from 18 overs.

Fast-forward a couple of overs to this:
End of over 40 (7 runs) - bombersXI(186-7). 16 runs required from 10 overs. RR 4.65 RRR 1.60
O. Heat 21 (19b), T. Harding 42 (61b) , F. Goss 10-1-50-2

BB would be fairly comfortable this stage! But in comes Bennett and Morgan, BOTH Old Ball Bowlers.
40.3 4 Morgan to Heat : [dropped] Goss misjudges the skier at long-on and allows a boundary.
That's gotta hurt!! Double edge knifge right there.

End of over 42 (3 runs) - bombersXI(194-7). 8 runs required from 8 overs. RR 4.62 RRR 1.00
O. Heat 26 (28b), T. Harding 45 (64b) , T. Bennett 6-1-27-2
He's got it here. But then.....

42.5 W Morgan to Harding : Harding done in by a full toss! He plays it early and lobs back the ball to Morgan who accepts it gleefully.
T. Harding c & b. D. Morgan 45 (69b 1x4 1x6) SR:65.22
43.5 W Bennett to Courtney : [catch] There's a noise as that goes through to Allen and Bennett turns and appeals. Glove? Bat? Courtney's arthritic wrists playing up? Doesn't matter, umpire says it's out.
T. Courtney c B. Allen b. T. Bennett 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

End of over 44 (4 runs) - bombersXI(198-9). 4 runs required from 6 overs. RR 4.50 RRR 0.67
O. Heat 29 (32b), A. Odumba 1 (1b) , T. Bennett 7-1-31-3

It's very tight!!!! 2 more overs go by with only 1 run conceeded in both!! 2 runs needed from 4 overs with 1 wicket in hand before who else strikes.......

46.1 W Morgan to Odumba : Odumba goes for the drive and ends up hitting it in the air towards point. He didn't get his foot to the pitch of the ball but went through with the shot. Goss swoops forward and takes it inches from the ground.
A. Odumba c F. Goss b. D. Morgan 3 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:60.00

Hello won by 1 run.

bombersXI Hello

oh yeah i always wanted a rivalry!

Justin Bieber

So have I ;). RB and I had one going on for quite some time but didn't really take off from all the talk :P.

At least you could probably challenge the top 2 in Div 1.1 as I clearly can't beat them :P.
