Okay, pretty good ratings

need to get that AR with Outstanding bowling summary and Expert batting summary help out that middle order, and also, to a less extent, Seam ratings.

32.5   W   Siggs to Vidur : He shuffled across his stumps looking to work to leg and was struck in front by Siggs.
J. Vidur lbw b. W. Siggs 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
32.4   W   Siggs to Ritula : [catch] Short of a good length delivery on the middle and leg stump line. Ritula looks to work it away through mid-wicket but fails to keep it down and the strategically placed Boag at short mid-wicket holds on well to a fairly hard chance.
S. Ritula c D. Boag b. W. Siggs 112 (102b 7x4 3x6) SR:109.80

two quick wickets for fletch may be enough to unsettle my frail batting order

EDIT: though lucky i dropped De Blaauw and brought in Walker my AR so i got manou and walker still to come :D

For my youths my leading run scorer for the season was Kaden Temiz, who scored 546 runs at and average of 42. That honour may have gone to Koen Stroetinga if I had played him for the whole season since he scored 347 runs in just 8 matches at an average of 57.83 opening the batting. A great effort for a 16 y.o! Vincent Wood had the highest average from his 9 innings due to him being an allrounder with the finisher talent he was not out on 6 occasions!

In the bowling side of it Wally Nevill and Rhett Maloney tied for leading wicket taker, both taking 23 wickets each. Nevill beats Maloney though as his avg was 21.39 compared to Maloney's 23.09. Nevill had 2 3 wicket hauls and 1 5 wicket haul, Maloney had 3 3 wicket hauls and 1 5 wicket haul.

The club champion for most fantasy points goes to Nevill who amassed 671 points way ahead of second placed Jimmy Wilkinson who got 501 points. No one got more than 1 man of the match performance showing that my players would step up if the others weren't doing as well.

Hoping for promotion next season in to div 2 :D
Sweet CF :D. Nice spread of the workload in your players 8). Wish mine were the same....

for my youths

the Heff amassed 968 runs at an ave of 80.67 with 5 100's and 2 50's
It's a shame you have to retire him to the two's :'(. At least he had an AWESOME last season for you :D.

I'll post about mine and BB's game next post.

Jeffers the stand out batsman in my innings with 51 with little cameos by others and another end of the innings performance by Flanagan with another bowler (Bennett). That little batting is coming in handy for that little extra!! 201 is the run chase for BB's team!

BB's innings start and loses 3 wickets in the first spell. Durant and Hemming were starting to put together a good partnership before Flanagan strikes Hemming and Angus in succession in the 22nd over. Harding comes in and starts hitting it after the break. Durant got to 64 before him and the next batsman Fenton both fell to Goss. 140-7 at this stage with 62 runs needed from 18 overs.

Fast-forward a couple of overs to this:
End of over 40 (7 runs) - bombersXI(186-7). 16 runs required from 10 overs. RR 4.65 RRR 1.60
O. Heat 21 (19b), T. Harding 42 (61b) , F. Goss 10-1-50-2

BB would be fairly comfortable this stage! But in comes Bennett and Morgan, BOTH Old Ball Bowlers.
40.3 4 Morgan to Heat : [dropped] Goss misjudges the skier at long-on and allows a boundary.
That's gotta hurt!! Double edge knifge right there.

End of over 42 (3 runs) - bombersXI(194-7). 8 runs required from 8 overs. RR 4.62 RRR 1.00
O. Heat 26 (28b), T. Harding 45 (64b) , T. Bennett 6-1-27-2
He's got it here. But then.....

42.5 W Morgan to Harding : Harding done in by a full toss! He plays it early and lobs back the ball to Morgan who accepts it gleefully.
T. Harding c & b. D. Morgan 45 (69b 1x4 1x6) SR:65.22
43.5 W Bennett to Courtney : [catch] There's a noise as that goes through to Allen and Bennett turns and appeals. Glove? Bat? Courtney's arthritic wrists playing up? Doesn't matter, umpire says it's out.
T. Courtney c B. Allen b. T. Bennett 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

End of over 44 (4 runs) - bombersXI(198-9). 4 runs required from 6 overs. RR 4.50 RRR 0.67
O. Heat 29 (32b), A. Odumba 1 (1b) , T. Bennett 7-1-31-3

It's very tight!!!! 2 more overs go by with only 1 run conceeded in both!! 2 runs needed from 4 overs with 1 wicket in hand before who else strikes.......

46.1 W Morgan to Odumba : Odumba goes for the drive and ends up hitting it in the air towards point. He didn't get his foot to the pitch of the ball but went through with the shot. Goss swoops forward and takes it inches from the ground.
A. Odumba c F. Goss b. D. Morgan 3 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:60.00

Congratz on the win but quite a bit of tension built up during the match as I could see ;D.

Wow great win HP!!!
Haha I have noticed there are a few people who get extremely mad when they lose even though they rate higher, but then I don't hear them complaining when they pick up a win when they have been out rated. They then call that better tactics ;)

Okay, I had very good reason to get angry:
On a green pitch,my best fast bowler decided to play his worst game for the year.
Another thing that really annoys me, is the fact that I have looked at the fielding checks from the last few games, it seems my worst 3 fielders (Stevenson, Naved and Jaseam) get about 80% of fielding checks hit to them, while my best fielders hardly get any. Weird? Or just bad luck?

I am serious here, I don't think I have EVER beaten someone who rated considerably higher than me (10k+)

Besides, my anger was just more targeted towards individuals (Stevenson) so I wasn't complaining too much about the result of the match ;)

Nice game Daz. Thought you had me on toast with that massive score... Luckily I had Lindsay there to help me accross the line. Your bowlers actually did quite well. They took more wickets than me! Was disappointed with my bowlers actually.

Was a magnificent quick fire 50 from Manou at the end of your innings.
