8-6 Suited

27.6   .   Kortlang to Nicol : [missed runout] Nicol calls for a single but is sent back by his partner. Pretty makes a wild return and misses the run out opportunity.

SHIIIITTTT. I really needed that wicket. If I got that, I was in the drivers seat. Now, I will probably lose by 1-2 wickets because of that.

Current Fielding Checks: 8
Passed: 4
Failed: 5

3 resulted in boundaries.

I still want to get rid of him, I just need a replacement though before I could consider it again.

Better the Devil you know hey?

Exactly. I know what he is capable of and what he isn't, yet he still surprises me sometimes. I just wish he did better in one or both areas and his all rounder skill-set than okay in both.

   End of over 32 (maiden) - Begbie's All Stars(134-6). 56 runs required from 18 overs. RR 4.19 RRR 3.11
P. McCloy 10 (26b) , T. Nicol 15 (32b) , G. Hart 6-1-24-0

These 2 can bat, Nicol more-so than McCloy. Need to get them both out and I'm pretty much home free, if I can do it within the next 16-26 runs. Still wont be easy to do, in-fact I don't expect it to happen.

One can dream though about knocking off the best team in the league though... sigh!

34.3   W   Paritosh to McCloy : Gone. Clean bowled. Simple as that.
P. McCloy b. D. Paritosh 14 (33b 1x4 0x6) SR:42.42

One down, Nicol and 2 others to go. :D

End of over 35 (2 runs) - Begbie's All Stars(141-7). 49 runs required from 15 overs. RR 4.03 RRR 3.27
C. Anderson 0 (3b) , T. Nicol 18 (40b) , D. Paritosh 8-0-28-2

End of over 38 (5 runs) - Begbie's All Stars(150-7). 40 runs required from 12 overs. RR 3.95 RRR 3.33
C. Anderson 0 (7b) , T. Nicol 24 (54b) , G. Hart 9-2-32-0

Not leaving a lot of room for myself here. It's going to be too close to call. Need to take Nicol out as soon as possible.

40.5   1   Sherazi to Nicol : [dropped] That was really a half chance, but good teams take those. Nicol chips down the track and tries to take Sherazi downtown over long-off boundary but succeeds only in lofting him high in the air. Hart running back from mid-off had it covered well but drops it after doing all the hard work in reaching it.

flower you Hart! If you caught that, we flowering win you useless piece of shower.

End of over 42 (1 run) - Begbie's All Stars(156-7). 34 runs required from 8 overs. RR 3.71 RRR 4.25

43.6   W   Lidgerwood to Anderson : Oh, what's this? Out! Stumped I think... yes, a pretty innocuous ball from Lidgerwood just had Anderson drawn a bit too far forward and his foot slipped out of the crease.
C. Anderson st J. Johnstone b. P. Lidgerwood 2 (12b 0x4 0x6) SR:16.67

End of over 44 (7 runs) - Begbie's All Stars(166-8). 24 runs required from 6 overs. RR 3.77 RRR 4.00
B. O'Rourke 0 (0b) , T. Nicol 38 (85b) , P. Lidgerwood 7-0-21-2

44.1   W   Sherazi to Nicol : Angling into Nicol before cutting away, Nicol fails to move his feet and, wrongly trying to work it to leg, gets an audible outside edge and off he goes.
T. Nicol c J. Johnstone b. F. Sherazi 38 (86b 4x4 0x6) SR:44.19

44.4   W   Sherazi to Aheer : Ouch! A great inswinging yorker crashes into Aheer's back foot. They all go up in a huge appeal and finally the umpire's finger goes up. Interestingly, not only does the replay show that was going well down leg side, it also shows Aheer had limped nearly a whole leg bye before the finger went up. Insult to injury...
M. Aheer lbw b. F. Sherazi 2 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR:66.67

   End of over 45 (2 runs) - Begbie's All Stars(168-10). 22 runs required from 5 overs. RR 3.73 RRR 4.40

What a game. What a finish.

4-34 by Sherazi finished it off and pulled out the victory which all but assures me of the at the least staying in Division 3. It also puts me a game clear now in 2nd place so promotion is possible.

The guy who is unbeaten on top of the ladder rated his best for the season so far with a 164,937. His last 3 games have all exceeded the 160k mark and he faces me next week. :x Can I pull off 2 wins in a row against the odds?

Cicjose

great finish. are his lineups similar for SOD and T20

Sherazi should have talent listed as 'Proctology' - knows when to pull one out of his arse  ;)

Changes depending on pitch conditions I would assume but would be about the same.

Sherazi is a gun. I am totally stoked about this win. Especially with my ratings in SOD nopw. 158k basically means I rated close to 163k in a league match with this line up and orders and pitch. :D

set up beautifully with a slow ton from walsh 102 off of 92
and manou smashed 158 off of 105  8)

all the bowlers tore em apart nice win for me
but dammit the two better guys also won so still 3rd behind 2nd by 1 game and 1st is ahead by 2 his undefeated  :(

CrowsFan

Well I lost my match by 2 wickets in the end so it was a close finish.
I batted first on a flat and was going nicely when I was 1 for 142 after 24 overs, but then as usual my team collapsed and ended up being bowled out for 232 from just 43.3 overs.
In comes the other team and it takes me until the 20th over before I get their first wicket and they are on 158 at the time so things did not look good for me, however managed to pick up another 7 wickets so that they required 11 runs to win and I needed 2 wickets. Unfortunately they got that easily...

Considering the ratings I did pretty well...

On a side note I had a boundary hitter who faced 92 balls and didn't utilise his talent once :( I know it only works on dot balls so I counted how many he faced and he faced 46 dot balls. How gay is that!

Well done ML. i rested a few players last night, and still managed 131k. I'll knock off them in T20 for you next week ;)
