ML, trying playing batsman in different orders. See if you can get another player to do well opening instead. Worth the risk. I use to play one of my openers later in the order (Habib at 6). Tried him out in T20 as an opener with great effect. Now forms an opening pair with Mayne (opener talent) for both One Dayers and T20.

but decided that he was good enough to play and I think I could have someone who could open

Yeah sometimes even players who don't have opening talent open better than others and vice versa.
Although looking at your list, maybe just swap Robertson with McDermott, similar skill levels but it might be the difference.
Look at Antoine. He opens for me in OD and kills it. Power is not high enough to open in T20 so he goes in at 6 and doesn't do as well.

What do people think about suggesting to the FTP admin a betting option?

With your own balance you can place bets on the tote of opposition matches only (never on your own games) and help increase your earnings!

It would make watching other games a lot more interesting.  ;)

Had given the pros/cons of the logistics of the idea some thought the other day but I'm now a bit pissy to remember.

Was watching the A-League derby at my brother in laws tonight on Fox and at 1/2 time Heart were paying $3.50 for the win. (Victory were $2.70 and the draw was $2.20)

He got on for a fiddy (obviously won  ;D) and it reminded me of the idea I'd had.
