It's hard to find a youth with those primaries :o. Doubt he'll sell for that much though ;).

Q, I'll see If I can put up another bowler. Check my team as Alex has bid on 1 bowler. Another 1 should be up as well. 1k isn't anything so should bid and hopefully get him. Also have a 19 y.o for sale with Accomplished fielding :o. But average batting and technique :P. Could be a nice addition to your youth squad this season ;).

For Batsman check out these guys (might get inflated a bit but good now):

I recommend the last 2. A little older but the secondaries in fielding and power are good. Others could still be worked on though :).

DazBurg

i just got challenge by someone with the team name aussie go hard.....i have no idea who that is

Alex7089

I am following 3 players at the moment.
First up- Eamonn Wilson.
Would add a little more to my bowling attack, certainly developing a nice bowling side.
Second- Ariyapala Hewawasam
Mainly on this guy fro T20's, a boundary hitter, with capable tech and batting.
Just 20 years old, could be a future opener.
Last- Samuel McIntyre
This guy has potential to be my number 1 player. He can bat reasonably well, and has already established some nice bowling and tech stats.

He is 19 Daz, which will be why he is so expensive.
He will be Dunn-like but by the time he is 25!
yeah i know alex but that is alot of cash man......i got a guy who is one year older and his stats read

Batting   reliable     Endurance   ordinary
Bowling   poor    Technique   accomplished
Keeping   poor    Power   dreadful
Fielding   dreadful

just got his fielding to pop

only difference is 1 level less on bat, endurance and field
and his 20.....so the 19 yeah old is better but what i mean is my guy isn't that much worse and i only paid 1000 for him thats what i mean by price though
20 year olds usually get discarded since they are usually just used in the youth leagues. If not good enough for first team, they get sold or fired. That's why you picked him up for so cheap ;). P.S New system coming in NEXT season which helps teams who actually train fielding (That's me :D). Look at my team and you won't see many below average fielding ;). But not many over :P.

Master Q

Thanks HP, but can someone answer this:

But which is the real one, it says 2 different ones on both? It says Reasonable under Skills Summary then Reliable under Skills?

I'm going for both, as I need both of them anyway.

And how does the Youth Academy Work?

Alex7089

Nice pick up there Daz.
I love the 20 year olds, I prefer to pick them up and develop them to be awesome than fire them :P
Depending on what they're stats are.
The youth academy is players which are under 20. They play for your youth team and while they are there you can develop them into better players or play them in the senior side.
Once a week you can pick up a new youth for free. (youth pull)

Youth academy works when training your youth players and when recruiting weekly. When you start out it's horrible. But you can still recruit a star (like me :D). Just a very small chance. Even for people with better academies it's still very small chance. But a better chance ;). An advantage of better academies is that you are better at training your players 8).

Gun Bowlers for cheap could be:

All are good but I would personally go the last one because he has a good all round game.

Master Q

And the more money you put in the better they are? And How do you get them, via PM?  ???

Same. But prefer end of season 19 y.o's. I usually go crazy for them then end up selling half of them the following season :P. That's why I have so many 21 year olds (sold a few still) :P.

Q, Go to the academies page and in the top right below the time and stuff, their is a recruit youth button. Select that.

Alex7089

Thanks HP I put a bid on the first and last one.
Of the batters.
Top right hand corner here Q http://www.fromthepavilion.org/academies.htm?teamId=1333

Alex7089

I also put a bid in for the last bowler, thanks HP.
I need to stop bidding now, I am following 7 players all 22 or under ;D

Just noticed 2 of those guys are mine :P.

LOL Alex ;D. I once had 20 players I had bid on :o. But that was a long time ago ;).

P.S Fast bowlers and Wrist Spinners are hard to come by for cheap unless your lucky.

Alex7089

This guy just got half a million bid on him. I don't know why...

because for 16 he has a good all round game and his a prodigy means he trains faster in youth
someone investing heaps in youth could make that guy a serious gun
