Depends on a matter of things
Ask yourself this

1. Your Leagues. Are they tough or easy? Can you promote?
2. What do you want? Promotion or PC run
3. Can you win your PC match?
4. Do you need the extra income from a PC run

If you can get away with playing 2nd XI players for as long as possible then yes. It's all about squad management and knowing exactly how much firepower you need for each match.

If going for promotion though, tank it straight away I say. I've tried going for a minor run, 3-4 rounds in, completely messes up fatigue and sets you at a disadvantage in the leagues.

Tanked it last season and promoted :).

My first ever div 1 match today. Was off to a shaky start but the boys are consolidating. I am 4-0 against this opponent but that's in Div 2 OD, not T20.

Nevermind, while typing this and thinking it'd be a jinx it was and we lost a wicket.

Ok so after day 1 of Youth 1.1 in India I have rated 117k and am the only team over 100k in ratings. Lets hope Nat call ups dont stuff me too much seeing as I have 5 red stars atm with a predicted two more coming.

Well done!! You might get this Div 1.1 title!! Try and get some players to stay back, or buy some cap/cap 19yo's to help you out if you need them! :D

I also won. Livera and evan took me from 25/3 to 208/3. Livera unbeaten on 109. Rated only 94k but it was the highest in my div 2 league... 4 guys are under eighty thousand too. I could promote if i wanted.
