As someone that started their affiliate side (2nd team) just last season, I would completely ignore the idea of purchasing youths, however do not ignore youths, if that makes sense.

Look at gathering a senior squad of 13 players, 5 bats, 1 wk, and 7 bowlers, and spread the bowling variety around, try for one of each bowling type. Medium bowlers are the cheapest to find but do not buy more than two of them.


Just looking at your squad (Bear in mind I can't see the skills), a few players you can fire straight away:
Alma Hayne (19yo)
Bertie Martel (22yo)
Avril Gostelow (24yo)
Bryce Debeaux (23yo)

All of the senior players given to you are essentially useless so fire them off, no one will buy them so it's not worth selling. :)

Oh yeah, one more thing you need to do. Club -> Transfer Countries. You won't get very far if you play your leagues in Australia. Pick a smaller nation depending on what game times suit you. The rest of us are all spread out, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka (Best option ;)), South Africa, and Netherlands the popular ones among us I believe.

So today at work some random challeneged and i just accepted but didnt have time to set orders and my default for some reason has my finisher bat bowling (dreadful bowling)

So obviously he got spanked around 2/87 off his 10.

I won by 5 wickets. But it's more than that, William Campbell took 4/23 off 8.3 overs, and picked up MOTM in his farewell game. That is like a poetry, I want to cry. :'( That's probably worthy of a HoF spot, just that performance alone.

Thanks for all the advice guys. It's gonna get busy and with the start of the footy season i might have to put FTP on the back burner for a while. I will still check in once a week to pull a youth though and see if there are any senior bargains while i'm there. Even that takes a lot of time i find when i'm double checking stuff and waiting for trades(shower 2 hours went by) haha.

Coming in mid season aint the best but when i get my team sorted i will be sure to ask for some friendlies to see if i'm on the right track.

Looks great though and look fwd to when i get some proper time to nut it all out. :)
