I like giving my opponents a chance, sometimes too good a chance. T20 match just finished, I need to keep winning to promote, Cynic is right on my tail. I scored 153/6 on a Sunny/Green, then the excitement started:

End of over 18 (7 runs) - arsenalcc(138-2). 16 runs required from 2 overs. RR 7.67 RRR 8.00
D. Oldfield 4-0-27-0, J. Sambandam 59 (45b), C. Moorthy 24 (13b)

I look gone right? Just like every other week, I've got an over from a spinner, and then from a 21yo rfm with ord experience who went for 16 two overs ago. Well, that spinner was Buddy Austin, 3 runs, 1 wicket, and two missed wicket checks (::)) in the over meant 13 was needed off the final over. 4 off the first ball, then a runout of the set batter, then another wicket, then two two's, leaving 4 to win off the final ball, and well, he got 2. :P

I am either terrible at this game, or an excellent judge of my opponent's strength.

In the next minute or so I'm going to create a Saturday One-Day league, 10 teams, 2 rounds, no restrictions. It's called 'First In Best Dressed Cup (FIBD Cup) and it's completely free.
I had some credits I wanted to use and my membership is up in a couple of weeks.

one hour to go until my match vs Q starts. Whether it will actually be a match or not will be interesting, I haven't played on a Windy/Dry for a very long time, and it's Q's favourite pitch with 3 very very good spinners. So yeah, I'm intruied to see how close I can get with my three medicore spinners. :-\

I'm trying to work out whether Q has not set orders, as I know he's away this week, so wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, or he has purposely played 6 bowlers. I'm actually leaning towards the latter just judging by the batting lineup I think. Will see when he starts bowling I guess.

Gotta love how the wickets have gone to Campbell, the spuddiest of spud bowlers.

End of over 22 (4 runs) - SE Melbourne Thunder Dogs(98-2) RR 4.45

My team doesn't have an AR in it, so I had to invent one, or hope that I could have 2 batters chip in to score an AR's score. I think I've acocmplished that, my openers are reasonable and average bats, both are on Defensive, and I just want them to get through the first ten. I've left the challenge to my batters to beat Q's spinners, and chase down the 240 needed. Q was 47/0 after ten, I'm only 3 runs behind that, I'll call that a win. :)

As I type, John falls 2nd ball of the 11th over, as expected, the spinners are on now.

I know he didn't set orders, but the bowler had had at number 6 made 19 runs @ 79, so wasn't horrible. And when you look at where the ratings were stored, the upset looks better than 5k. :) Confidence booter for my match vs ranti tomorrow, would love to make it two from two against him this season. :)

Not too bad at all.  I have a similar setup but with 10 x 17yo.  Should be interesting to see how my side rates in 2 seasons time when they are 19.
