reckon johansen will sell the first one maybe the last one not.

also think even tho he is 22 with a 40k rating thats a solid player for $20K you bought for sure i would be happy with him at the lower levels i have a few around that rating and they go well.

I was hoping he didn't go higher than what I had on him (was like $8k), but I knew that was wishful thinking. Some lad put an agent on him and I obviously had no idea how high he'd go, so I told him myself I'd stop at $20k which is what I ended up getting him for, so yeah... I'm happy.  ;D

I fell agonisingly short of an upset, trying to chase 184 my bowlers but on 30 for the 9th wicket and 19 for the 10th wicket but lost by 5 runs. :(

If tour batting was stronger you would have beaten him. His bowling ratings are very weak for someone pulling those kind of ratings. His batting is his strong point. 8k tail ratings  :o

Playing on a crumbling so figured number 8 wasn't a bad spot for my finisher to bat as early wickets a decent chance...

So put a bowler ahead of him who's dread/spec/ord bat/tech/power

FFS, he was meant to just help the finisher get in 1-2 overs closer to his talent related overs. Instead he's wasting final overs at the death 9*(24). He has been dropped twice when there's a spec/spec finisher to come after

I always open with a bowler, so my top order has a dread batter in it. :P Alot of the ratings difference is in tail and top order though, so wasn't really that impressive when  you look at it. ;)

and average experience as a minimum if you can find that.

that's the mistake i made when starting, bought acom/acom players but didnt realise until later advise that most had very low experience (hence the cheap prices i got them for compared to others).

i also under valued the level fielding was at, and i guess if they have a good chunk of power at an early age that is a bonus since you aren't supposed to really train power until mid 20's ?

the other thing i did is buy a team without a player with high captaincy so now i have to not only buy myself an expensive bowler i need i have to make sure he can be my new captain.  current captain is only capable which i doubt is anywhere near good enough and probably costing my team performance ( not sure tho )

Captaincy isn't a big deal Colli

By the best team you can then name your best captain as your captain IMO.

I wouldn't go about buying a player to be your captain personally. It is handy, yes but not really NEEDED.
