i think 3,000 or something, nothing more than that so i am stoked :D
Thats alright since the market has been inflated after end of season money.

During the season I try picking up youth players to build for future years. Getting alot graduating after this year :(. At least my 2 biggest prospects (1 likely a future under 19 NAT considering fielding and the other a great bowler) are only 17 so still have a few bright seasons ahead of them.

so HP you buy your youth from transfer market?...or is there like a way to go scouting to find youth that ain't on teams already?
You are able to recruit 1 youth player each week from any country in FTP and have a choice at what type of bowler or player you want. It is random so you could pull a great kid (Pulled 2 in 3 weeks alast year in my man Currie and Casperon). I could of sold these guys for alot of dough but kept them hoping they become U19 Nats. But the majority of the youths people pull are bad like RB said. It is luck so pull one every week as it costs nothing. If they are bad, just fire them, otherwise sell them since it is still early in the season (for 16 year olds). People will super academies (you start off pretty low unless you invest a hell of alot of cash) will usually buy them and train them.

I am buying a few if I can for cheap since most of my youths will be gone either this season or next. Getting some in now so I can at least train them a little to a certain level. I only expect ave/ave for my guys at the very least to start for me. The rest I keep to train.

okay thanks guys will try and find some gems

DazBurg

so i recruited a youth his a left arm medium talent new ball bowler which i don't have one of these and gifted batting
what i would like to know is if his worth keeping or not his 16
ordinary at bowling
poor at fielding,endurance and technique
and atrocious at the rest
will i be able to train him up to be good  or not?....just wanna know how we get one every week how good at least do they need to be to  keepand if under that  i'll fire

Justin Bieber

Yes. If he has ordinary in batting, bowling or techinque and poor in the rest this early in the season, worth a keep.

New ball bowler means he'll be a good opening bowler. Train him on Bowling tech for now. Will raise his bowling to average at least while training technique.

Gifted batting is a shame since he is atrocious batting. Will take a while to train him up from atrocious to at least ordinary or average.

Alot of of players have bad power and fielding. Power isn't a neccesity while fielding itn't either for now. Fielding can be raised faster while the player is young. Power is when the player reaches mid 20's is when he trains the fastest.

FTP has a forum (need to register your name again). Can go there and in the New Players section there is a mentor type thread. It's for new players who might need help getting started. I didn't do it as I got a little help from the guys on here.

roo boys!

Yeah I didn't go on their forums, just got help from you guys. (HP, valk etc)

i had a look at the forums after HP mentioned it but don't think i need it from the tips i got from you guys here and if i get in real trouble will just ask my brother  Brat Pack to help me out...lol

DazBurg

anyone that wants to give me a challenge in a friendly will be appreciated
because i just started and my team is crap but would like to see how my players go against a human side rather then a computer controlled side like majority are in my league's

Justin Bieber

The majority of teams in my league are bots ::). But only Div 6 for the leagues.

Open to challenges by all :).

HP FTW!

I will challenge you.

BTW I am roo boys! Lol

Justin Bieber

I know RB ;). Alex is I heart HP ;D.

Pav cup today, good luck to all in it :).

Master Q

DazBurg

turned over most of my side now bringing in 10 new players and spending only 19000 in total with another 7000 currently going on 2 players
so team is starting to look good  :)

BratPack

So the Div 7 Pack rolled into play a side in the 4th Div today. The Pack bowl first and restrict them to 6/193 off their 50 overs. Started off okay then a middle order collapse had us 5/121 but Ngwale, Captain Oosthuizen and Joubert all dug in and made scores to see The Pack with five overs to spare.
